A raven turned into a man.
no one ever starts that way, but this is how villains are made
Maleficent is an evil in my Curse Campaign. She unleashed a curse that not only put a princess to sleep, but rose the dead from beyond. A formidable foe, she leaves nothing but death and rot in her way for no one with a heart would cast a curse this evil.
@writeblrsummerfest
I decided to make Mulan a fighter/warlock. Her patron is her ancestors, if that makes sense? She's the protector of her family.
LAYOVER PROMPT #1
"You meet someone from your past at baggage claim. They shouldn't be alive."
Admittedly, this prompt got away from me but I like it so here we are. Spoilers for my D&D campaign.
Would you forgive? Is there no limit to your grace? Perhaps you are right; a better soul, a good soul, would have wept their loss but not retaliated.
I did not weep over their dead bodies. There was nothing but torn, bloody viscera to weep over. Not even our children were spared.
Lili had seen only the blooming sunflowers four times in her life. They were her favourites, you see.
They never bloomed again. I saw to that. That's when I learnt that taking life is just as easy as giving it. Never before had I dabbled in what they called necromancy, but even then I could not bring her back.
I would not yield to the laws of our world. How could the natural law be that a mother outlives her daughter?
One hundred years it took me.
One hundred years their princess would sleep.
A life for a life.
I dare not tell Lili what became of her beloved sunflower field.
I created Duchess from "Aristocats" for today's session so spoilers ahead (I got one of you here so you've been warned):
Duchess is a vampire. They didn't exist until this curse hit. It's an obscure history of how they came to be. Necromancy, a blood ritual, a deal with Death herself? Our party won't know.
She had three children, but they died when the curse hit and the undead invaded.
Tbh I'm just hoping they won't attack her right away because she could be such a cool addition. I won't dwell into her backstory too much incase they jump her. We've got some aggressive party here
The party got stuck in a run-down farm trying to find out what a necklace meant with all of them failing history checks even with clever ways to redo them
I get them to the city. They see a golden statue. They think "Gold!" and wants to cut a piece of it. Wizard use levitate and floats it up to come crashing down and hopefully smash into pieces for them
The golden statue falls down. It indeed smashes into pieces as it hits the ground. The moment it cracks, the gold vanishes and it becomes flesh once more
Yes. Flesh chunks splashed around the ground. Party agreed to never speak of this again
They then encountered werewolves and did not attack, much to my surprise. They countined into the abandond city and took rest in the graveyard. Wizard sent his bat, Bob, out to investigate
Bob saw a humanoid figure walking their way, too far away to tell what it was
That's where this session ended, and we've got two weeks until next one
presumed genders is funny. I've had two characters in my campaign I didn't say the gender of. one a woman, one a genderless God. the guys have assumed they are of "he" pronoun
I've been writing an article a day on Worldanvil without realizing :'D They're not long articles but I've also gone back and changed stuff on older articles, hence the Jack panic
Sharing it with players as is now is meaningless because it's not enough to be of use while also having spoilers in what is
