Ugh!

I hate how hard it is for me to find art I like for Crescent City. Most of what I see online is that hyper photo realism ai crap that isn’t even how I picture any of the characters.

I know Crescent City isn’t as popular but I wish we had more artists like TOG and ACOTAR 😭😭😭

Can we just stop with the ai now and support artists so we can get more beautiful art for the fandom? Crescent City needs more love too! ❤️🌙✨

Shipping

I don’t get the whole thing to insult and belittle people who like a ship you don’t like. I always see anti-Brycriels calling Brycriel shippers delusional and hating on their headcanons. Whether it becomes canon end game or not, why can’t people just have their fun? This coming from someone who’s a multishipper and has no skin the game for hoping any ship becomes canon cause I prefer fanon over canon anyway. Literally who cares what people ship, let people have fun and stop being so rude.

Just a reminder

All ships are valid.

Ships don’t have to be canon. Canon purity means nothing to shipping. If it’s in the book, cool. If it’s not in the book, it’s still awesome!

The author does NOT have to like the ships the fandom creates for ships to be valid.

You don’t have to like a ship for it to be valid.

Bragging about someone’s ship not being canon and shoving it in their face like it’s some sort of victory is not cute and doesn’t make your ship or you superior in some way.

Shipping is for personal enjoyment.

When you ship characters, you are playing with paper dolls and making them kiss. It’s not that deep. If you bully people over ships, get over yourself and get a life away from the internet.

Don’t let the ship wars hurt artists!

If it’s not obvious, there’s lots of artists who want to cater to a wider audience so don’t let your ship wars punish artists for creating content of ships you don’t like. Being an artist and drawing ship content, especially for commissions, doesn’t mean they’re picking a side.

Don’t harass or send hate to artists who draw ships you don’t like.

Definitely don’t send death threats. Those disgusting humans know who they are…

Uplift artists! Don’t drag them down with toxicity!

If you’re an artist, just know you’re appreciated!

So bored…

I swear, I feel like the only things I see discussed lately is the ship war between Elucien, Elriel, Gwynriel, and Brycriel. Man, people are mean to each other for no good reason over wanting their ship to be end game. It’s so freaking boring.

I get everyone is stir crazy waiting for SJM to drop the next book but it’s sad seeing everyone just be toxic to each other.

It’s one thing to appreciate your favorite ship, it’s another to insult other ships to uplift your ship and insult people who ship differently than you.

No one has to like the same characters or the same ships. That is a given. But why does this ship war make people mean?

Even if your ship isn’t end game in the books, read and write fanfics where they do get together. Don’t harass each other or SJM or SJM’s loved ones.

This ship war is the reason I refuse to ship any of these even if I would have liked them because the fighting is such a turn off. It makes shipping not fun. And shipping is supposed to be fun!

But yeah, I’m bored. Instead of the romance, anyone got any interesting theories what the overarching plot will be about? I don’t care about ships, I wanna know about the world around the characters. You think we’ll finally get to the Koschei/Vassa story that’s been teased? Will he be the next big bad evil guy in the book? Do you think we’ll explore things going on in the continent with plot that’s been hinted? Do you think Beron is gonna officially become a story villain and not just a big meanie that gets mentioned every so often? Do you think ACOTAR will have direct crossovers with Crescent City or Throne of Glass? Will this next book help build the ground work for the 4th series that has been rumored, expanding the Maasverse?
