in light of the avid + marmalade stuff: how likely is it that avid has sent anon hate of scott to any mcytblr confession blog (not just this one) at any point.

like ik we shouldn't joke about what they did because it was really messed up for the people involved, but imagine. given precedent, i think sending anon hate of the guy they were trying to target, on tumblr of all places, is something they're petty enough for. be it venting or stirring shit i wouldn't be surprised if it had happened at some point, given how many asks seem to hate scott.

I remember when Avid decided that cryptidhunters (him x shelby) was canon from his side of things instead of aviscott (him x scott) that there were people on tumblr gleeful that Avid retconned "yaoi slop"

At the time I was pissed off with people talking about how good this news was, even though Shelby herself pushed down any shipping of their character straight after Avid's stream.

Now looking at a couple of blogs that celebrated the one sided cryptidhunters ship, I just feel bad for them. Most are devastated for valid reasons, but man, imagine hating one guy (Scott) and uplifting a different ship because Avid said so, only for Avid to be a piece of shit and both Scott and Shelby being victims of him.

Yikes.

If I see one person say that you can’t ship Avid with gay men because he might not be a guy himself, I will personally bite because I’ve seen people ship Avid with Drift, local lesbian, when he’s a guy.

Don’t mind me, just seeing people being weird about avid coming out as possibly not male.
