Volunteer to Preserve Syriac History
The Canadian Centre for Epigraphic Documents (CCED), located at the University of Toronto, is currently working with the Harrak Collection, the largest corpus of Iraqi Syriac and Garshuni inscriptions in the world. These date between the 7th and the 20th centuries. Most are from Mosul and the surrounding region of Nineveh.
The CCED expects two new collections this month: Syrian Syriac inscriptions dating from the 10th century and Turkish Syriac inscriptions dating from the 3rd century.
The CCED needs the help of ACSSU students from the following fields:
- Web
- Translation (English to Syriac, Arabic, German & French)
- Historical
- Social Media Marketing
- Graphic Design
