I just realized Bryce could have blinded Micah 😍 but she tried to hold off, to not use that part of herself, but in the end, she had to anyway. And what a selfless way she used it!

Am I silently hoping Bryce ends up with Flynn or Ithan? Yes.
Do I also want her witg Hunt in his backwards hat and sweats? Also yes.
CRESCENT CITY: House of Earth and Blood by Sarah J Maas REVEIW
I have some mixed feeling about this book. To be honest i’d probably rate it a 3.5/5 stars because it was just alright most of the time.
I’ve been a long time fan of Maas. I have read all of the Throne of Glass books and of course A Court of Thorns and Roses and REALLY enjoyed them. So obviously I was going into this series with high expectations. And I can’t tell if my disappointment comes from me maturing as a reader and no longer enjoying Maas’ writing style as much or if she has simply regressed. Maybe it was both. But the novel itself was 75% world building. A lot of it was very relevant and helpful but just way to clunky to read. It was like one paragraph of plot to 3 paragraphs of back story. It was too much and I didn’t really enjoy that.
The characters were alright and I enjoyed a few of them but I haven’t gotten too attached in the same way as with the other series. Okay maybe that’s a lie, I love Ruhn and Aidas. But TBH i’m not sold on the love interest. Hopefully Sarah can change my mind or supply a better one.
Bryce was alright, I am always here for some general bad-assery and good for her for being a strong independent woman but eh. For me she was missing that spark. She was much more similar to Feyre than Aelin and that’s not really my cup of tea. I think I expected more practicality from her than “ooh my leg hurts, ooh i’m not a party girl” etc. But who am to say she’s good or not. I wish that Maas would have talked less about her nice tits and more about her fighting skills. Yeah both are important but it would have helped her develop her character more if she got to act herself instead whatever Maas had her doing. But what do I know?
Anyways I did have a good time reading this and I look forward to the rest of the series. Hopefully they can keep my interest as my life continues to change.
Thanks.
Y’ALL.. IT’S SO BEAUTIFUL 😍
