I bring yet another update to the Discman saga. I think I figured out why it wasn't playing CDs properly. I did also give them to my sister to try out to see if they would play in a car radio but there, the CDs didn't even load! K3b, the software I use for burning, kept using DAO (Disc-At-Once) mode for writing with CD-Text enabled. Turning TAO on automatically turned off CD-Text. I did also wipe the entire CD each time I was burning a new one so that could've also helped but idk.

Spent way too many hours cleaning up and fixing up (as best as I could) my sisters old CD Walkman. I did spend like an hour or two just deciding if I wanted to take the stickers off but I did in the end take them off. For the fact that it was at once dropped and super glued together it was in surprisingly good shape. The only thing that is broken broken is the Hold button. I should be able to just use a simple two state switch but I'll have to do more research. Most of the time was spent on trying to repair the laser motor because I thought it was broken. The thing spun the CD but it wouldn't play. So I took it apart like four different times just to clean off everything inside, clean the laser lens ONLY TO REALIZE THAT THE PLAYBACK BUTTONS ARE NOT WORKING CORRECTLY. It's extremely easy to just press the Menu button when you want to skip forward which like... how. They aren't physically even close. I'll post pics later.
