CD's Sofia the First Rewatch 👑💜

Follow along as I rewatch all of “the first” Sofia the First leading up to the premiere of Sofia the First: Royal Magic in May!

I have watched the OG show before- many times! But it has been a long while since I rewatched the whole entire show!

So these will not be first-reaction posts- but they will certainly be a reflection of my experience with Sofia! From 2012-2018 to now!

For each post, I will dive into each episode and discuss its events sequentially!

I will also mention what I thought of them on first-watch, depending on if I even remember...and what I think of them now! Some of these episodes I don't even remember all that well!

I will even sprinkle in how I believe some parts or characters could contribute to Royal Magic!

This sorta goes without saying, but these posts will have spoilers pertaining to the whole show‼️

So if you haven't watched the whole show (or are thinking of watching it for the first time) and you don't want spoilers- you have been warned!

I will be using dividers and putting all of my thoughts under them- but I will also utilize the "sofia the first spoilers" tag on all of these posts for extra measure!

Final note- I am watching all of these episodes in production code order because imo that's the way to watch Sofia if you want the show's continuity to make sense!

Onward ❤️‍🔥✨ [2020–present]- my all-time favorite Pixar film, my favorite film ever, and the main basis for this blog!

Yoshi 💚 [~2006–present]- my favorite Mario character, my best friend (/p & /nsx), and always my first pick for playing! But I am also a fan of Mario games as a whole!

Winx Club (Winx) 🧚🏼‍♀️💖 [2011–present]- without a doubt my all-time favorite animated fantasy series! I love and watch everything Winx! I have seen it all! I am currently watching Winx Club - The Magic is Back!

The Owl House (TOH) 🦉🏠 [2023–present]- my newest interest and influence! My favorite recent animated Disney series with memorable characters, an epic story, and amazing themes! Dana Terrace is the GOAT!

Whisper of the Heart 🐱✍🏻 [2018–present]- the origin of my profile pic! My all-time favorite Studio Ghibli film! Shizuku is forever my kin!

Pixar💡🎬 [2000–present]- my favorite animation studio! I see all of their feature films! My favorites include- Onward, Coco, Toy Story 2, Inside Out, The Incredibles, Hoppers, Luca, and Elemental!

Tom Holland ❤️🕷️🕸️✨ [2018–present]- my favorite Spider-Man- but most importantly, my favorite actor and celebrity! I have seen a good chunk of his filmography!

Sofia the First (StF) 👑💜 [2012–present]- what I consider to be my Bridgerton: I was a closeted fan during middle school and high school, and I am still a fan to this day! I am currently watching Sofia the First: Royal Magic!

Danny Phantom (DP) 👻 [2016–present]- my Spider-Man training wheels lol, but also my favorite Nickelodeon cartoon! Going ghost!

Green Eggs and Ham (GE&H; TV Series) ⛺️🧳 [2019–present]- technically my first fandom before Onward, but not entirely- I genuinely love this animated adaptation more than the book itself! Plus I enjoy Dr. Seuss as a whole!

Arthur 📚 [2000–present]- my favorite PBS show growing up and as an adult! I am also a fan of the books and played the computer games growing up, too!

Other Interests & Influences

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic (MLP: FiM; Generation 4) 🦄🐴🌈 [2014–present]- I began watching during Season 4 (so I already knew about the surprise end to Season 3 in advance unfortunately lol), I have seen all 9 seasons and all of the Equestria Girls stuff, and I was mainly into it because one of my favorite YouTubers blind-reacted to it. My favorites of the Mane 6 are Rarity, Twilight Sparkle, and Fluttershy.

Wallace & Gromit (W&G) 🧀🦴 [2000–present]- my introduction to and the very reason I love dynamic duos, stop-motion, and British culture! My great-uncle, who is British and used to be a cameraman for the BBC, sent my family a VHS tape of The Wrong Trousers way back when and I have been a fan ever since!

Powerpuff Girls (PPG; 90's original) 🩵🩷💚 [2000–present]- my favorite Cartoon Network series and one of the first girl power animated series I was ever exposed to growing up! The segments, the characters, and the animation style will always be excellent!

Tangled ☀️🌼 [2010–present]- I have seen both the film and the TV series! Rapunzel is one of my favorite Disney princesses (next to Belle and Ariel). “I See the Light” and the beautiful floating lanterns gets me teary-eyed every. single. time! I also have a small soft spot for Varian.

Kim Possible (KP) 👩🏻‍🦰💿 [~2005–present]- another one of my favorite animated Disney series and another great exposure to girl power growing up! AND my first great exposure to catchy theme songs! I have a CD of the series soundtrack and know all the songs on it by heart!
