Hearing about how your mom refused dark shelves bc it would make your room look like a cave made me think of that tumblr post where bookworms were called bookwyrms. Totally random, but yeah.
oh that's really cool! and she was wrong in the end, my bedroom is so bright that the shelves wouldn't matter being dark. Also the wall would show behind it and its white :3
