Lost Wizard | Introduction Prompt
Even though spring was well into bloom Cedric couldn't help but bundle himself under a set of two robes for warmth; The man could only be described as a shuddering stick this early in the morning. His breath was still escaping through his lips visibly and the frost had yet to melt off the plants lining the trail. Or his shoes. They couldn't have waited, no. Stuck in what he felt to be in the middle of the not-quite-dense-but-still-enough-to-get-lost forest of which he'd forgotten the name minutes after stepping through the arcane portal he was presented with the day prior.
Of course the map he was given was useless as well. He was taught how to read runes - not directions.
At least the young man wasn't alone though. His pet raven, Wormwood, perched upon his shoulder with as sour of an expression of that of his master. "Where do you reckon we are, Wormy?" - Cedric would groan in a whisper as he reached up to pat the bird gently - An attempt at calming his own nerves. His pet would merely caw once with a shrug of the wings; Wormwood was more than capable of understanding speech.
The only thing the pair could attempt to do was continue down along the trail by foot...
