// If anyone is interested in a thread with Hades, let me know! My activity is really low right now and I'd love to meet some more of you.

Hades rubbed the back of his neck with his hand and hesitantly stepped inside. “Uh, yeah. Hey.” He smiled and lowered his arm. A famous grin crossed his face as he knew it was time to talk business, one of his favorite things. “The name’s Hades, how ya doin’?” He said as he extended his pale blue arm to her.
Her eyebrows raised briefly at his appearance. Even with her admittedly limited experience, she knew humans weren’t supposed to have blue skin. But to ask him about it would reveal her unfortunate lack of knowledge, and she couldn’t let him know that he had an advantage over her. Her grin matched his as she reached out to grasp his hand. “I’m Ursula. A pleasure to meet you, Hades. What can I do for you?”
Hades chuckled nervously. The stranger was direct, not one for small talk like he was. He did not feel intimidated, just uncomfortable as it weren't normally his position to inquire for help.
"Uh, yeah... So..." He was best to be upfront, get to the point. "I was told that you have magic."

Little 5 year old Jenn was shaking as she wandered this strange place, her daemon Dakarai sat on her shoulder as a door mouse, his ears twitching at all the odd sounds...
The souls moaned and screamed as they often did. It was a regular day in the Underworld for Hades. That is, until he heard the faintest footsteps coming from down the passage. “Uh, hello?” he spoke into the open collection of spirits.
"Oh, so we’re talking souls now. I know a thing or two about souls." Hades felt suddenly drawn into their game as if it were a contest that he knew he could win. If anyone knew ANYTHING about demons and souls, it would be him. No way these two kids understood even the surface of what they were discussing. This would be easy.
He started gliding away toward the pool of souls and expected his company to follow. Looking of his shoulder, he called for them. “Come on, come on, come one. I have something I’ve gotta show ya,” he said as an evil grin crossed his face.
Dakarai hissed in his human’s ear “I don’t like this, I don’t think we can trust him.”
Jenn nodded “me either but he may know how to get us home” she whispered back
"notice how his interest suddenly peaked when we mentioned Daemons and souls though. what’s that all about?"
Jenn shrugged
still a sparrow, Dakarai took off from her shoulder and flew ahead slightly as they followed the stranger. “is this a good something or a bad something?” Jenn asked, curiosity peaking out from behind her fear and cautiousness.
Hades let out a big sigh, suddenly impatient and hurried. If this was a contest, he had to win. Besides, no one minded showing off a little and when it came to souls, Hades had plenty to show.
"Hey, why ruin a surprise?" he said with an eyebrow raised and a devilish grin. He continued to walk, with or without them.

There were a few things Ursula really, truly liked about the human world, and one of them was swiveling chairs. It gave things a certain flair. Especially when there was someone lingering in the doorway to her makeshift office space. She turned away from the window to face the visitor.
"If you’re going to come in, my dear, you’d better do it soon. I don’t have all day, you know."
Hades rubbed the back of his neck with his hand and hesitantly stepped inside. "Uh, yeah. Hey." He smiled and lowered his arm. A famous grin crossed his face as he knew it was time to talk business, one of his favorite things. "The name's Hades, how ya doin'?" He said as he extended his pale blue arm to her.

the young brunette stopped walking, Dakarai twitched his nose before changing into a firefly and flying around Jenn’s head anxiously.
Jenn tilted her head to the side slightly before calling out “hello? is someone there?” she called out into the darkness.
Sure that he heard a voice, Hades glided slowly toward the source. He was on guard in anger, but not in fear. This was his ‘home’ and intruders were not welcome. Emerging from the shadows, Hades’ hair lit the way as he came face to face with the stranger. “Uh, and just what do you think you are doing here?”
Jenn stepped back slightly in surprise and fear, Dakarai changing into a red panda and climbing up on her shoulders, ears pinned back and wide eyed. Jenn could feel his fur bristling in fear, though her own fear was pushed back by a bought of curiosity
"m-mister…you’re blue, and you’r hair is fire…" she mumbled, her head tilting to the side once again
Dakarai hissed in her ear from his perch on her shoulder “he has no daemon!”
Jenn noticed this as well and flinched out of fear, where was his daemon? she tried to ignore this and answered the question this strange man had asked, “we’re lost…where are we?”.
"Yeah, it is on fire, isn’t it?” he laughed at his own joke. “Get it?”
He looked at his guests and wondered how they got here. Where they sent? Were they spies? The answers were limitless, but unfortunately for them, his patience wasn’t.
"It took you until now to realize that you’re lost? What was your first clue? Unbelievable…" Hades wiped his face with a slender blue palm. Are they for real? “Uh, HELLO. What does it look like? You’re in the Underworld and, uh, why exactly are you and your puffball here?”
Dakarai growled “who are you callin’ a ‘puffball’? I’m her Daemon*!”
Jenn shushed him before answering “we knew we were lost we just didn’t know where we were lost at mister…”
she paused, her 5 year old mind trying to think of a good explanation “we’re here ‘cuz…I dunno acstually, we were with Mum and Daddy and then poof, here in the…undewr…world…whatever that is.”
Dakarai couldn’t hold his tongue any longer “who are you anyway? and where is your Daemon?”
(*pronounced “Demon”)
Hades couldn’t help but laugh when the ball of fur spoke up. “Feisty little guy, isn’t he?”
He crossed his arms as he allowed the girl to speak. He didn’t have time for this, he had much more important things to do. He let his mind wander, ignoring the sob story he had heard too many times. In fact, he didn’t care much as to why they were here. He cared much more as to when they would be leaving.
The word jumped out at him. “Demon?” he laughed, not understanding the intended meaning of the word. “Uh, I am the demon.”
this confused the two, Dakarai changing into a sparrow and flying close to the stranger, circling his head “you’re not a daemon, daemons don’t look like people, we can only take on animal forms”
Jenn shifted from one foot to another “umm…mister? maybe you don’t know, a person’s daemon is part of them, like an extension of our souls…at least that’s how Mum explained it.” she told him as Dakarai flew back to Jenn’s shoulder.

Roger and Hades - Hare of Fire
Hades faked a laugh as he ducked under the narrow doorway, capping his head with his palm to hold down the flames. The room was small and simple, yet completely foreign to Hades.
When offered a seat, Hades took a look around. “Uh…” he said as he searched for a seat. Out of luck and loosing hope, Hades started heading for the door. “Well, it’s been fun…”
Roger was busy sifting through the drawers as Hades spoke. He withdrew holding a big red oven mitt (despite the fact that there was no oven in his trailer) and turned to view his retreating guest with wide eyes.
"Heeey! You can’t leave yet! You just got here!" He stated, taking a few urgent hops forward and standing on his toes to grab the other by the arm. "I haven’t even showed you the dining room yet!" He complained, gesturing to a single table tucked off to the side.
Hades stopped in his place and let out a long sigh. This wasn't worth the effort, the hare was worse than Pain and Panic combined. This was clearly not someone he wanted lurking around Underworld with him.
"Look, it's been fun, but I don't know if this is going to work out. You seem like a... uh... nice guy... but-" he didn't know what else to say. God of the Dead or not, he had never been a fan of tears and he could feel that he was probably going to be flooded if he continued.

The teen sat down on a rock in the underworld as she watched the dead spirits drift through the green mist, as she sighed sadly, frowning a little. "I wanna go home.."
Turning toward his guest, Hades raised his hands in surrender. “Sorry, I don’t make the rules here.” Lowering his hands, he added, “Oh wait, I do.” He curled his mouth into a smile and raised one eyebrow.
"Jules, babe, if you didn’t want to spend time with me, you shouldn’t have made that deal. Looks like you’re stuck with me now, might as well get used to it."
