An Ifrit I put together for @cdwstudios Creature Design course with Nick Pill. Sculpt was made using ZBrush, lighting done in Keyshot and finished up in Photoshop. #ifrit #genie #djinn #creaturedesign #conceptart #conceptdesign #cdwstudios #zbrush #keyshot #photoshop
Group assignment done for Advanced Bootcamp class at @cdwstudios. These are key frames for a short animatic based around The Little Mermaid. I was given the task of drawing up keyframe in which the Sea Witch was present. #animatics #thelittlemermaid #seawitch #Illustration #keyframes #animation #conceptart #cdwstudios
version 8? idk haha anywho decided to finally fix this guy up abit, was only meant to be a 3hr touch up turned into the whole afternoon/night. sooooo looks like im behind on my classes again. Its not often i give myself the time to do my own stuff or fix up stuff that i had to stop due to handing it up and having to start the next task. #noregrets continuniing to work on the fundamentals. tried to fix the posture as much as i could without redoing it from scratch.. feels a lot more solid now but still not the level i want it at but hey i shouldnt polish a turd xD
Rendering exercise :
Varnished wooden jewellery box with gold trimming
Metalic crate with rubber handles
Leather box
After doing these i want to futher explore how to correct where i went wrong and how to render other surface materials and add more details. As this was designed to be a short exercise, i didnt go into wear and tear/age but that is something i wish to explore
Still dont fully understand how different surfaces reflect the surrounding or how some objects show the reflecting then mirror it on top. gonna have to study my tea kettle more ;)
Digital painting:
Create a forest scene where our hero stumbles upon an ancient artifact that unlocks the secrets of time.
not totally happy with how its come out. struggling to get detail in and the colours to feel right. my main goal was just to get the image to read and hopefully have the viewer interested in the focal point.
oh look third night in a row ive been up til 5.30am doing uni.. oops Characterdesign1 : we were briefed to design a hunter that hunts humans. and whose a better huntress that she who rules the sky? I decided to go with a skypirate for my theme, im not sure how successful i was. i still want to give her a paraglider, but i started this 3 days ago and im behind on my other classes. just hasnt been a productive week even though ive been drawing for constantly when im awake and home. been negllecting the gym this week. of the 5 character archtypes we got, all the remained was the fat guy. i didnt want to go the path of the character who was so overweight he couldnt run. So i decided to try something different and go with a pear shaped body, you know the whole “thick and curvy” feel. My original inspiration was thats so raven. It felt weird drawing the hips bigger than the shoulders but deffinately had a lot of fun with this character. not sure if i drew the highheels correctly but damn drawing them from the back is a bitch even when drawing a box in perspective. it just feels so wrong.
time to go die and hopefully i wake up in time for class
digital painting 1 :
brief was to design a shot for a game set in a forest where the character would finds an ancient artifact that unlocks the secrets of time and start to use colour in our designs I also tried some photobashing as im always unsure how to tackle it. not happy with the results but ive spent too much time on it
