Wrapped up Canada Day by checking out our first Fraser Valley Bandits Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) game! There, I met mascot Berry Bandit, sang O Canada very badly, enjoyed a crisp and flavourful @ravensbrewing Bandits Amber Ale, and loudly cheered the Bandit to a 93-86 loss! Despite that last part, we had a pretty darn Canadian evening of entertainment! And despite tge loss, the Bamdit still remain atop the CEBL standings! Foot Locker Canada x Canadian Elite Basketball League Agree to a Sponsorship Deal for the 2022 Season

Foot Locker Canada and the Canadian Elite Basketball League (CEBL) have agreed to a deal that will make Foot Locker Canada the league’s newest sponsor for the 2022 season, which started on May 25 and will conclude August 14th at Championship Weekend in Ottawa. This new deal will be in effect across all 10 CEBL teams and the Foot Locker logo will be displayed on each team’s homecourt. The partnership will include fan activations, player appearances, youth basketball camps, exclusive behind-the-scenes content, and more.

The CEBL is Canada's pre-eminent professional basketball league. The league has the highest percentage of Canadian players of any professional league in the country, with 60 percent of its rosters being Canadian. Players bring experience from the NBA, NBA G League and the top international FIBA leagues. The 2022 season league rosters include six players that have prior NBA experience, a record 37 players who have played in the NBA G League, and 93 CEBL players with experience playing overseas. The CEBL has graduated five players into an NBA roster in the past six months including Xavier Moon, Edmonton Stingers (10 games played for the Los Angeles Clippers), Javin DeLaurier, Niagara River Lions (one game played for the Milwaukee), Cat Barber (three games played for Atlanta), Xavier Sneed (two games played for Memphis and nine games played for Utah) and Lindell Wigginton, Hamilton Honey Badgers (19 games played for Milwaukee).
