Cedric was born into a very influential family in Sole City and found his calling as a journalist. Known for being tenacious and borderline obsessed with gathering information, his career took off.
Cedric was working like usual when he heard about the bomb. After doing only a minimal amount of information gathering he was ordered to drop it and never look into it again. Finding that ridiculous, he continued his research quietly until a year after the bomb when The Phoenix made their debut.
After hearing the speech given by the leader of the gang, Cedric decided to meet with the group. He was determined to find the truth and the speech had inspired him so he was interested in meeting the leader. With the promise of screentime and his full cooperation with helping the gang anyway he could, he joined up.
Cedric’s position in the group is as someone who gathers information for them. Due to his powerful family he often has the ability to meet with the mayor where he fishes for information on what he’s up to. He also runs a blog for the group in order for them to gain more notoriety.
Connections:
Roman Quinn- After the first speech that Roman gave, Cedric became extremely interested in meeting the group. When he managed to do so, and after hearing what Roman had to say, his interest only grew. After joining the group he and Roman get along well and Cedric is very loyal to him.
Reimi Araki- Cedric met Reimi in high school and has considered her to be his best friend ever since. He was the only one who knew why she left school and kept visiting and bringing her things when she was shut in to her house. She helps him gather information on whatever he’s was working on. Reimi is one of the very few people in the world that Cedric trusts completely.
Alex Morris- When Alex approached the group, Cedric took it upon himself to gather any information he could on the girl. Once he was convinced that she wouldn’t betray them, he began trying to look out for her, since in his mind, she was too honest and would always recklessly announce her feelings to the higher ups of the city. He began offering advice on how she should act around them, much to Alex’s annoyance.
Jacen Grant- It’s nothing new for Cedric to be hated by the people around him, it rarely even has any effect on him anymore, although Ace is pretty high on the list of the most dangerous people to dislike him. When they are forced to be around each other, Cedric doesn’t go out of his way to annoy the man, although he doesn’t particularly watch what he says around him either, so the two have a very tenuous relationship.
Christian Miller- With the both of them being from very prominent families in Sole City, Cedric has known Christian for quite a long time. While the two weren’t particularly friends, Cedric always appreciated the justice that Christian believed in. After Christian got involved with the group, Cedric assisted in convincing him to join the group and began going out for drinks with him often, all while sharing information and helping with plans that Christian could share with Ace.
