Ceedark - 'Magic Touch' (Prod. by Bossman Static)
Hunger.
I don't know why everyone thinks I've lost my hunger for music. The reality is, the hunger has never been stronger. Every day I wake up, I think about writing tunes. People don't understand the situation. They just go on what they see and what they don't see, and they don't see me releasing tunes, so they think "That's it. He's lazy. He doesn't do music any more" or some bullshit.
It's like having hunger, going to cook a meal, and then realising you don't have a kitchen. Inspiration, like real-world hunger, has no schedule. It doesn't strike at set times of the day. You're hungry when you're hungry. You're inspired when you're inspired. Musical hunger, like real-world hunger, gets worse and worse the more you're not eating. You can choose to ignore it if you know you're not getting a meal, but it will always be there. So don't tell me I'm not hungry for the music. I'm starving.
So what do you do when you're hungry, and you have no kitchen, or ingredients to make your meal? You make do. You eat off of other people's plates. You eat fast food, which may as well be junk to you, but it fills you. It gets rid of that hunger for a short while. And you sit tight with the thought that soon enough, you will feast.
This video is almost a year old but it never fails to make me laugh/inspire me.
