ceeturnalia replied to your photoset “City life in Poland by Gerald Howson, 1959. Source: monovisions.com”
i can't speak for the rest of the photos, but the top one of the boy with the wings isn't from poland. it's from the city of olomouc, czechoslovakia, in 1968, and the photographer is josef koudelka.
Hello, the ‘winged’ boy is indeed taken in Olomouc like you said, I made some proper research now and changed it to a different one which was taken in Kraków (the others in the set were taken in Lublin and Kraków). Looks like the side monovisions made a mistake, and I copied it unawarely. It would be a great idea to contact the admins of monovisions too.
Thank you for the comment!

AMAZING checklist!!! one hundred gold stars. the only thing i would add off the top of my head is making sure your most important documents are in your go-bag — passport, birth certificate, that sort of thing. if your dogs require licenses and proof of vaccination like they do here, put those in the go-bag too. do not go anywhere once the storm starts. stay put. when the eye of the storm is overhead things will abruptly turn calm and mild, do NOT be fooled that it’s safe outside. stay dug in because the back half of the storm is coming and it’s usually worse. ilu!!!!
will do re: documents! i'll put everything in waterproof baggies too
the cyclone should make landfall on us around 10pm thursday night (6am thurs your time i think) and is sitting at cat 2 for now, there's been no evacuation notice so we're staying put at present. if the house begins to take damage when it starts we're going to get everybody & all pets into the study until it's over, since it has the least windows. we were gonna use the bathroom but there's so much glass in there, i don't wanna risk that
we won't be going outside at all whatsoever until it's over, probably not until the next daylight most likely. the only fear i have is if the house/roof takes too much damage and we're no longer safe inside, what to do then. but hopefully hunkering in the study will be enough 💛

a person can still sleep on a sofa even if it’s not a ~proper sofa bed, i don’t think you need to replace anything. and going back to yr 1sr post it is absolutely NOT selfish to arrange your home the way YOU want! it’s YOUR home! ditch the guest room, choose joy
that's true enough, at least in my brother's case he was very comfortable on my couches. and i do have the airbed, even if it's awkward. you know, i am seriously considering it!! it's MY HOME!!
