#RevUpPH matagumpay sa QC at Cebu

MAYNILA, Filipinas (Ika-15 ng Nobyembre 2014) -- Matagumpay ang kinalabasan ng REV UP Philippines Summit na idinaos sa University of the Philippines College of Engineering Theater, Lungsod ng Quezon at concert sa Southwestern University, Lungsod ng Cebu. 

Tinalakay sa summit sa halos 200 na estudyante mula sa iba't ibang mga eskwelahan sa Luzon ang mga isyung kinakaharap ng kabataan sa kasalukuyan.

Ang unang nagsalita ay si Marc Lino Abila, pangulo ng College Editors Guild of the Philippines, tungkol sa ipinanukalang Magna Carta for Students sa 16th Congress sa pamamagitan ng opisina ni Rep. Terry Ridon ng Kabataan Partylist.

Sumunod naman sa kanya si Sarah Jane Elago, pangulo ng National Union of Students of the Philippines, at tinalakay ang mga isyu sa kasalukuyang sistema ng edukasyon, lalo sa pagiging komersyalisado nito. 

Huli namang tinalakay ni Victor Villanueva, lead convenor ng Youth Act Now, pagpapakilala sa kanilang organisasyon at ang mga layon nito laban sa Pork Barrel System. 

Pagkatapos ng summit ay nagkaroon ng candle lighting para tumawag ng hustisya para sa nawawalang 43 estudyante sa Mexico na kilala bilang progresibo at lumaban sa mga polisiya ng bansa na umaayon na nagproprotekta sa mga interes ng mga drug cartel.

Sa Cebu naman, nagkaroon ng concert upang isulong rin ang paglaban sa Pork Barrel System.

Ang summit at concert ay inorganisa ng National Union of Students of the Philippines, College Editors Guild of the Philippines, Youth Act Now, at Student Alliance for Nationalism and Democracy (STAND) - University of San Carlos.
