So I sat to watch some old Dominick Cruz footage to try and get a feel for Cruz vs Cejudo and ultimately gave up. The circumstances of this fight happening make it borderline impossible to try and draw up some sort of gauge as to whether or not anything Cruz has done to offer Cejudo. Like I’m not even sure either guy makes weight.
THAT SAID! Cejudo tends to run hot and cold on starts (slow vs guys like Chico Camus and Moraes, obviously super quick vs Dillashaw and the Wilson Reis’ of the world) and Cruz tends to be a guy who gets out the blocks quickly so I could see there being a situation where the wackiness and absurdity of this entire situation combined with their respective styles creates two likely outcomes; Cruz starts out hot, Cejudo is slow and then he eeks out a 48-47er or Cejudo just does what Garbrandt did except he finishes the deal and TKOs Cruz late.
