Revamped Celeste's design a little bit and figured a good way to practice both drawing her consistently as well as general posing/composition/other stuff would be to draw her in the key art poses of various Smash Bros. characters! Some of these poses were suggested by friends on Discord.
Had a goofy idea for a comic. Incredibly Weird Detective is an interdimensional investigator, so he can visit all sorts of worlds and meet all sorts of people. That doesn't mean he or the people he brings with him... blend in all that well.
The end of the year is finally here, so I'm just looking back and taking stock. The alt-text for each image has a transcript of what's written in case you have trouble parsing my not-that-great handwriting. Or you can also visit my Fur Affinity, which has every single image here with a transcript in the description.
Anyway, what does 2026 have in store? Well, I've got some plans, but another thing I'd like to work on is being more active in community stuff. Not just posting my art and only ever posting my art without interacting with other people, y'know? It's tricky since I'm fairly shy, but hopefully I can start getting over it.
Kinda just did this one on a whim, really. But I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. Chell and the White Rabbit, ready to face off. It's over on my Fur Affinity as well if you're interested.
So, Celectrique is a superhero story idea I've had for a little over a decade now that I've just had sat on the backburner for the longest time, trying to figure out how I want to do it. The main character is an anthro crow named Celeste - here's her character profile!
More info and and a timelapse after the read more.
She wasn't always a bird - when I originally came up with the series she was one of the few humans in a mostly anthro-populated world. I wasn't a furry yet. Then in June of this year I did a quick sketch of her as a bird and really liked how it turned out and since I still hadn't actually written any full pages or stories with the character yet, well, perfect opportunity to change the design. So that's why her birthday is June 17th - that was the first day I drew her as a bird!
The last name being Fusée-Noir is a reference to a comic I wrote all the way back in elementary school called Black Rocket. I was in the third grade and had just gotten into Dragon Ball Z during the Android Saga. So it was a very bad ripoff of Dragon Ball Z starring androids named Black and Rocket.
As far as why the chemical that grants her powers is called "sequence digamma," in high school I had an idea for a game starring a cyborg trying to escape from the facility they were trapped in. There were a whole set of cyborgs, all named after Greek letters, and the one you played as was "Digamma."
I like to make a lot of references to old ideas I had that didn't work out so I'm gonna be using these posts to help explain them.
The only threatening thing happening here is that atrocious nickname - sorry, Chell.
As usual you can check this out on my Fur Affinity but this time I've also got a timelapse for you! Now, legitimately, let me know if I should stop including music in these, 'cause I see a lot that don't but I kinda like having music to listen to while watching timelapses myself
I said Clay was married, didn't I? Well here's his husband, Flint, who's a slightly more chipper fella.
Pretty simple stuff for trivia here - his birthday, March 4th, is simply a reversal of Clay's birthday, April 3rd. Just as well, "Flint" is an earthy name like "Clay." Finally, his original last name before marrying is "Thatcher." I've got a slightly developed alternate Wild West universe for Celectrique, and in that AU Clay and Flint have long since separated on bad terms. Hence, Wild West Flint has reverted to his original last name.
