It seems that the co-ruler of Equestria and goddess of the day has selected Best Pony! as her consort.

Heavenly Pie! That is a great name for the ship. :) I also approve of Best Pony! being given an exclamation point and will do my best to remember to render her name that way from this point forward.

I am a proponent of nearly all Pinkie ships, and Heavenly Pie is no exception. I think Celestia would really dig Pinkie's informality and love of fun, and I also think it would cause near civil war within Equestria. Because, really. Pinkie Pie, Consort to Her Royal Highness. Just one party cannon blast too many during an important meeting or event, and there would be cries for revolution.

Plus, Twilight Sparkle's head would explode, and that'd be hilarious.

Things would go from bad to worse, as things always do, but then at some super important diplomatic meeting, the talks with a griffon tribe from the far northeast would start breaking down. Tensions would be sky high, the pressure would be nearly debilitating, and war would seem all but inevitable.

Then, almost as an aside, one of the representatives from the northeast griffon tribe would mutter something about foul tiny beasts that devour all in their path, and Princess Celestia would smile. Princess Celestia would smile and turn to glance at Pinkie.

And Pinkie Pie would already have all of her instruments on--maracas and tuba included--and she would give Celestia a single, serious nod in response.

Centuries later, "Pinkamena" and "Diane" would be two of the most common names to give to girls born in the northeast griffon tribes.
