I would love to see Deckerstar continuing their relationship, completely giving themselves to one another, sexually and emotionally, until Lucifer - having become more vulnerable around Chloe than ever - actually begins to fade away into humanity, little by little.
His celestial strength wanes, his metabolism slows way down, and he is no longer immune to mortal ailments. Cue Lucifer, a few months down the road, sniffling irritably and wiping his red nose in the supermarket as he shops for cold medicine and bourbon at 11 PM on a school night because Trixie is also sick and can't sleep due to her own respiratory woes.
Chloe cares for them both, making chicken soup from scratch like her mom used to make, tucking Trixie in with a promised day home from school tomorrow, and insisting that Lucifer retire to bed as well when she finds him still awake, sniffling and coughing quietly into his elbow as he attempts to clean the kitchen after dinner.
