This was our meal for Satuarday! Lasanga! I make this about once every three months! This is my own creation that I learned from my mother. This is not your typical lasanga. You need lasanga noodles to start off with. I used gluten free ones that you get at the store, called oven ready. Before we would boil and then layer, these save time. I do miss normal noodles these are a good conparison. Here is my ingreident list: One box of Gluten free oven ready lasanga noodles One bag of Mozeralla cheese One bag of Parmasian cheese One bag of six cheese Itailin blend One bag of coby jack and chedder cheese mix Two to three cans of red sause (any kind) I use hunts most the time. Itailin sasuage (ground) One pound of ground beef Then you layer and volia! Bake per directions on the noodle box. We were supposed to pair this with green beans but I grabbed the wrong steamer bag! We made our own garlic bread as well. Then for some added yumminess, canilope! This is a family favorite!
First off I have to say how easy this recipe was! Dinner was done in under 30 minutes tonight, everyone was happy! The only hard thing was finding mustard seeds! I looked at store after store, finally, Albertsons was there to the rescue! I rate this recipe an 8 out of 10. My 12-year-old brother loved it. My 49-year-old boyfriend loved it, even I loved it. I am a very picky eater due to sensory issues. My only issue with this dish was the mustard seeds. It has to do with the texture but it did not stop me from enjoying this! I found this recipe while looking for gluten-free foods for picky eaters. We eat gluten-free because we have too. It is sadly not a choice. Here is a link to the recipe: https://www.myfussyeater.com/honey-mustard-chicken-with-bacofoil/ I did not use bacofoil. I've never heard of it honestly. We did do a few things differently. 1. I let the chicken marinate overnight in the ingredients. 2. I did not have garlic clove (though I did), I used garlic powder in replacement. 3. I forgot the parsley! Instead, I used dried parsley flakes. Even with these simple adjustments, everyone was super happy with the meal. We also had mashed red potatoes, steamed broccoli, and gluten-free cornbread. I forgot the gravy as it is something that the 2 out off 3 of us do not like. My boyfriend used the drippings from the chicken and said that it tasted really good that way. My brother and I just ate them plain. For dessert, I found these quick mousse cup things. They are made by the same people that make the cakes in a cup! They fit nicely in small juice cups. I hoping each meal we make turns out just as good! Saturday night is going to be lasagna. A recipe that I have made several times since I was a child with my mother.
