Ah how tiring such affairs are, having such grand events at the estate. So many faces given far to much ease to demand his attention to attempt garner favor for their own little games of power, like they thought he was foolish enough to not see it coming.

Oh how he hated all of it and longed for retiring to his private quarters to sleep the rest of the day away. But there was so much work to be done and much of it was sitting on his desk piling up because he was distracted by playing the role of gracious host.

“That went better than expected.” He mused, a cheerful smile on his face as he turned to his dear sister the moment that their guests and the servants that their guests brought were very far out of sight. “I do believe that they will be content to not make any grand demands for sometime.”

The answer to that evidently was a yes, the traveler leaning over to cup a hand over the side of his cheek to keep his whisperings directed at the intended target. "Thoma was looking for his little hand broom earlier, right? Actually, someone broke it and asked me to keep it from them so that they could go ahead and replace it - I've just been trying to find a time to slip it back into his kit, but geez, you guys weren't kidding about how diligent he is. I haven't seen any gaps in his schedule!"

                        𝐇𝐞𝐫 𝐟𝐚𝐛𝐮𝐥𝐨𝐮𝐬 ‘stuff’ huh.... crimson eyes wandered around the endless porcelain cups displayed in front of him. How many of them were there even? some were even stacked one on top of the other simply because otherwise, they would probably fail to fit all in the same little delicately-put table in which they were being displayed. Leaning down a little in order to shorten the distance between himself and the table, Gilgamesh proceeded to lightly swipe his index finger over the surface of one of the cups- not because he was expecting dust to be collected on his finger, but rather, simply because perhaps; that was his own way of personally getting involved with Marie’s so called ‘fabulous’ collection.

It truly did not take long for the sage king to eventually pick one of the many cups displayed, his choice? a cup with a golden handle matched with intricate flower details painted all around it and inside of it. That small cup he was holding in between his hands.... It wasn’t quite like the cups he was accustumed in owning and using back in his time, yet just because the appearance was different didn’t mean that the king couldn’t appreciate the attention to detail that the object had. How contrasting was the view when he thought of his own golden cups and Marie’s ones ... truly a large gap separated their eras.

Was collecting these objects part of your hobbies in your past life, or has it been something you have been able to only delight in as a servant?  ❞   He didn’t really expect a direct answer from her in all truth, so his attention shifted back to the cup he was holding in between his left hand. Returning it to its original spot, Gilgamesh chuckled lightly;   ❝ Not bad, not bad ... Perhaps I should as well show you one day the cups pertaining to my treasury, I am certain you will be able to appreciate their fine work as well. ❞
