In Elmira, New York, Woodlawn Cemetery makes it easy to pay respects to its famous residents, with signs posted directing visitors to the Mark Twain grave and--to my surprise--the grave of Hal Roach.  If you’re unfamiliar with Mr Roach, by all means check out this link; suffice it to say he brought Laurel and Hardy to the world’s moviegoers--a worthy claim to fame but in his case, only part of his considerable movie legacy.  Photo taken October 11, 2017.
