Nuada
Nuada was king of the Tuatha de Danann when they came to Ireland. He is best known as Nuada of the Silver Hand.
When the Tuatha invaded Ireland, they battled the previous inhabitants. In a battle, Nuada lost his hand. The physician god, Dian Cecht, gave him a hand of silver.
In those times, a king could not rule if he was physically blemished, so he lost his crown. The new king was a terrible ruler and taxed and enslaved the Tuatha.
The physician god's son, Miach, dug up Nuada's hand and reattached it, restoring it to normal. Nuada became king again only to be killed in another battle.
Nuada is noted to be a god of war and he is married to the war goddess, Macha.
Some sources say he can be a god of seas, fishing, and healing when comparing him to Nudd/Ludd and other gods with the same etymology and cultural connections. This claim is backed up by Charles Squire's Celtic Myth and Legends.
