Riders of the Sidhe by John Duncan. Painted in 1911 and hanging in the McManus Galleries, Dundee. One of many works of Celtic myth by Duncan, one of the prime movers in the Celtic Revival; he claimed to have heard fairy music while painting, and his biographer John Kemplay has written, "He saw with the 'inner eye' of his imagination forms more beautiful than any he had ever seen with the 'outer eye'.
