okay so disclaimers first this is somewhat joint brainrot with @/sea-lanterns and also within the context of selfshipping instead of being a real standalone au so this is just going to be a lot of sevchino yappery dhskfjdh ok disclaimers over

like i mentioned in the masterpost arle is an actress who primarily sort of "specialises" in more dramatic roles like suspense, thriller and psychological stuff. she has this aura about her that lends itself well to playing villains or antiheroes or any role that involves really digging deep into the head of a character who might not be exactly "good". she's a very well-established figure in the film industry, with an oscar, emmy and golden globe to her name. the only one she's missing is a tony, but arle doesn't do broadway theatre.

arle was initially a child actor under hearth ent. and starred in a few horror movies as a side character, before she took a hiatus at around age 16. when she turned 17 the director of hearth ent. was arrested for an absolute laundry list of crimes which include child abuse. arle only came back to acting at around age 21 under fatui ent., landing a big role in a thriller film as the main antagonist, the enraged spirit of a murdered child seeking revenge on the perpetrators and the people who stood by and watched. the movie was an absolute runaway hit and propelled arle's career further than anyone really expected. despite the movie's success arle is the most guarded about it in interviews, not really elaborating on her thought process and feelings during filming leading many to believe it was a sort of catharsis for her following the scandal that broke out with the former director of hearth ent., but this is just pure speculation.

the movie achieved such success that arle gained somewhat of a cult following, which still follow her to this day now that she's in her early 40s. despite this, arle is still a very private individual. she doesn't have any personal social medias, only official ones managed by fatui ent, and a lot of the stuff her fans know about her only come from official interviews or comments from her colleagues. paparazzi hesitate to follow her too closely or bother her too much because she reportedly has "a very intimidating presence". there's a famous picture of arlecchino staring right into the lens of a pap from at least 20ft away, looking murderous, and ever since then her paparazzi following dramatically decreased. hence, with the exception of the hearth scandal, arle's name is very rarely mentioned or embroiled in typical celebrity drama.

at some point in the middle of her career, arle took over hearth ent., which had been languishing on the brink of bankruptcy ever since the scandal. using her influence and her own skill she rebranded the talent agency into the hearth ent. it is today, famous for producing diamonds such as the broadway duo lyney and lynette. the new hearth ent. is also well known for its strict rules when dealing with projects and directors wanting to hire their talents, and also for taking the safety and protection of their talents very seriously. as a result, hearth ent. is now one of the most desirable talent agencies on the market to join for up and coming actors and actresses.

ok now that we're done with backstory it's super self indulgent sevchino time <333 in this au sev meets arle not as a fellow actress but as a director. sev dabbles a little in acting with some side roles but overall prefers being behind the camera rather than in front of it. the movie being shot this time is a psychological thriller about a killer of killers, with arlecchino playing the main protagonist. arle and sev get close over the course of the shoot, bonding over stuff like creative vision, the movie's themes, and their own personal interests, but nothing happens in the interest of keeping things professional. it's only after the shoot that arle makes a move, and it's a very slow burn colleagues to friends to lovers type romance. it's so slow moving the tabloids don't even realise until the wedding pictures drop on arle's official instagram. after that, it's a bit of a media storm but both sev and arle are pretty private people so it's still difficult to pry any information of the relationship out of them that they're not willing to personally divulge. when the sevchino kids start popping up arle also spares no expense in hiring a team of lawyers to ensure that any unwanted photos of them on the internet get taken down almost immediately.

as a closing note, one little scenario that has been absolutely haunting me since the inception of this au is sevchino at a red carpet event. it's a pretty popular question for interviewers to ask "who are you wearing?" and for the interviewee to respond with the name of the designer who made their outfit. arle would see sev taking this question and detailing the story behind her overclothes, swing by and chime "don't forget the victoria's secret underneath" and then go a little further down the carpet to take her own interview. rip sev being exposed like that but she'll be exposed in more fun ways later after the event 🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️🙂‍↕️ ok bye that's enough selfship delusion for this week

hello alba !!! i admit i haven't thought about canon-compliant sevchino in a long time...... but modern!au sevchino has been ping-ponging in my brain instead. this is about to be so delusional so bear with me ,,,,,,,,

i used to brainrot ceo!arle but then i was given the vision by apollo himself of pediatrics!arle and that has been how she appears to me ever since. i most definitely would not be working with her in the hospital because i was simply not built for the medical grind, though in an ideal world by the point arle becomes the head of pediatrics, i'd be at best an associate prof or at least an assistant prof of ecology, though on tenure track regardless. going into academia and teaching at a university level specifically has always appealed to me so i'm going to indulge a little hsdljfhslf

in modern!au i think arle and i would meet a lot later than in canon. i'd probably find her when we're both in uni, out under a tree somewhere near the campus and just staring at a particularly interesting spider. we would have a nerd to nerd moment and talk some shop about spiders or bugs in general until it becomes kind of a routine. the rest of the relationship would be a pretty linear and typical progression. we don't really go on regular dates because premed is ridiculously demanding, so most of the time it's good ol' study dates. i offer my arm or leg for her to draw all the various veins and arteries on when studying anatomy because her own limbs have that black tinge and she can't really see her own veins. despite that, i feel like arle's hands tend to run a little hot, like a noticeable kind of hot, which makes for excellent massages whenever i'm dying over a 3k word report.

anyway the university i would teach at would have an affiliated hospital, which is also the hospital arle works at. my schedule would definitely be more relaxed than hers, so i'd probably be the one crossing campus to meet up with her for lunch in her office if she's free. from my own experience, if you turn up at the hospital often enough people start to remember you and then you unlock the honorary staff member pass and can head in through the staff walkways. arle's office is professional most of the time, though i can tell if she's had a patient come through recently by the miscellaneous children's toys scattered on a section of the carpeted floor that she didn't clean up in time. she keeps a family picture on her desk, and in her drawer, tucked away in a large, meticulous file are nearly a hundred thank-you cards written by her patients that she's kept over the years.

arle definitely draws a few stares on the rare occasion she meets me at my office instead. funnily enough, i think it draws a bit of controversy with the students. arle doesn't wear her ring on the job (there's a risk of damaging it or accidentally hurting her patient, and the fact that wearing any sort of jewellery is generally discouraged when scrubbing up) while i do, so the students put 2 and 2 together and it's not a pretty picture. but things clear up when a student comes in for a thesis discussion and sees the wedding picture on my desk. it still makes for a funny story in hindsight though. in any case, arle is most certainly a local dilf, and if any of the sevchino kids are in university at this point they do NOT hear the end of it. arle always showing up in the labcoat-over-scrubs fit and somehow eating it up does not help.

we have a place close to campus, though with arle's salary as a department head we definitely also have a beach house. we'd go there on weekends when arle's not on call, and it's her time to unwind. she'll wake up early just to spend the dawn on the deck and watch the sunrise over the ocean before crawling back into bed. i am still in charge of breakfast though because arle would make toast and steak tartare, and while it is certainly tasty it is also generally not a breakfast food. anyway, long walks on the beach in the morning, evening or night are definitely a must. it's nothing special, just walking and talking. sometimes it's just quiet, but it works for both of us. OH and arle 100% does her fuckass hand fishing nonsense...... i could tell her i plan to cook fish tonight and she'll look up from her newspaper, nod, change into a pair of swim shorts, leave, then come back with like. a whole ass flounder. do i grill her a little for going out and just grabbing fish? yes. do i still give her a thank you kiss? also yes.

ok it's. 0100 and i need sleep for the gym grind tmrw so i will end it here but this brainrot goes DEEP i fear........................ my chronic inability to stfu is rattling around in my skull like a terrible creature and i fear it will return 😔😔😔 tqsm for the question though, i really enjoyed answering it !!

I AM HERE TO DELIVER! The only reason I came up with that idea was because my oc is a researcher in the fatui and I wanted the role to fit her in the au so here are what I came up with until now! Every car has one main generator directly underneath the driver, with a smaller one at each wheel to give the car the balance it needs on the water surface. The drivers don’t have to worry about auqaplaning in the middle of the track since the gravity field is already pushing the water away. But since every driver has their own strategy, own driving style, own customized car etc. these generators have to be extremely carefully calibrated to avoid any complications for example I hc Furina to have an extreme sneaky driving style with little to no collisions and a rather light car, while I think Arle would drive more recklessly and aggressive but still extremely calculated, maybe nudging a few cars here and there throughout the race but is actually in full control. Her car would be HELLA heavy. Now furinas gravity field would never be able to hold up Arles car especially while driving 330kmh, just as Arles generators would make furina loose control of her car and result in a deadly crash, that’s why reader has to measure every driver, their car etc and be present at every test drive, consult with their strategists and is also in charge of designing the route of the track. Also if Arle happens to drive in childes car for example, she would deadass ruin his generators since they’re just simply not fit for her style and strategy. OKAY I TALKED ENOUGH NOW I’M GOING TO BED, GOOD NIGHT!

you really went into the engineering, this is genuinely really cool. i like that with this concept each car can have its own ‘personality’ in a sense, reflective of the driver. furina being non-confrontational, arle being pretty much the exact opposite. it lends well to narration and themes as well. i really like it! i don’t think i’ll necessarily include it in my own f1 au, since it’s your idea, but i do really like it! maybe tag me in any works you make for your own f1 au, i’d love to see it 🫶🫶🫶
