Why are girls taught from a young age that once a month, having blood between their thighs is a source of shame? Why are we made to feel embarrassed of the nature of our bodies, when they do something beyond our control that is essential to our health? We admire superheroes, magicians and sorcerers but none of their abilities comes close to a woman’s power. For what in the world is greater then the power to create life? To use your body to nurture and grow a human being capable of infinite possibilities. So to all my sisters in the world, never be ashamed of your body. You are exactly as you should be. You are magnificent. And if anyone tries to belittle you, mock you or make you feel dirty, just know, that is their problem, not yours.
