so i've decided now is the time to finally start learning about baseball (i know literally nothing) and you're the only person i follow who's mentioned being interested in it. i was wondering if you could rec anything, on tumblr or off? teams/games/anything - it's not like i don't have the time!!

Hi! Welcome to baseball! For teams it’s really up to you but I’m a Dodgers fan so I have to suggest them. But if you’d like MLBtv has all of the games from the previous two season for free so you can start by watching some random games. I feel like how in Harry Potter “the wand chooses the wizard” applies to sports and how the team chooses the fan, so I’d suggest watching some random games and basically just seeing what the vibes are of the different teams and just find a team that clicks with you. 

You could also go to the MLB youtube channel and watch highlights and see if there’s any particular player you really like and just start following their team too. I think that the All Star Games should also be available to watch on MLBtv so that’s a good place to start since it has all of the stars in the league

it is common not to tattoo the nipple. among other things, it really fucking hurts

i mean....I can only imagine. i nearly passed out from a small tattoo on my inner arm so truly no judgment from me. I’m absolutely going to notice it from now on but there’s...*waves hands at Tyler frantically* a lot more to focus on than a little nipple.

I am going to watch the first episode right now and I will report back, tho as a disclaimer, someone in my group last semester who was from ... frick, i want to say northern BC but it might even have just been the interior, but anyway,  he did let me know that I was a “city slicker”, so I don’t think this show is going to be super representative of the canada i actually know.

Too bad you couldn’t have squeaked out a 5th goal, Connor texted after their first game of the season.

I didn’t squeak out any goals at all, Mitch replied. Then, Did you mean to send that to Auston?

It had been really difficult to train his phone out of autocorrecting to Austin, but Mitch had finally done it. Davo didn’t text back.

Connor sent back the link to that stupid Deserts Miss The Rain song, which didn’t even make sense, but Mitch played it for Auston anyway.
