Used to call Qrow a nerd a lot in the STRQ glory days. He calls everyone a nerd. Once Zwei nuzzled up to him and he called the dog a nerd and he wears dad shoes.
All of the Rose-Xiao Long household are ticklish and Taiyang was almost always the instigator for tickle fights.
Still feels incredibly guilty over shutting down after Summer died, and feels like it should’ve been him who saved his girls when Yang took Ruby to find Raven.
Was the best choice out of all of team STRQ to be a teacher. Raven had no patience for children whatsoever, Summer was a little too scatterbrained, and while Qrow is a teacher at Signal too he’s harsh and he’s demanding. Taiyang’s probably everyone’s favourite teacher at Signal tbh and is always the go-to teacher when you’re upset.
Summer did most of the cooking when she was at home, but Taiyang’s decent as well since he had to keep Raven from eating garbage before Yang was born and made sure Qrow actually remembered to eat.
WOULD PROBABLY BE BFFS WITH PORT RIGHT he’s the only one interested in Port’s tales of daring-do aside from Oobleck, and they probably have flexing competitions.
His favourite food is pie. Every type of pie. All pie is good pie.
Is corny af. Summer openly loved this and Raven secretly liked that he could be goofy but never really admitted it.
Qrow and Taiyang’s friendship took the longest to form
Taiyang used to get Summer flowers when she came back from missions, and make her either breakfast or dinner depending on when she got back
