Ok but consider this— secretary AU (specifically Secretary 2002 if you haven’t watched it please I BEG you). It’s your first real job, and you’re just terrified of your boss but kinda in a good(????) way? Lawyer! Time who is so handsome but so severe and strict and hardly ever smiles making you shit your pants every time you make a mistake in the office only for him to inexplicably be soft towards you when he finds you crying in the break room, he comforts you by allowing you to vent your problems, gives you a tissue, makes you a cup of coffee with too much sugar. And after that, begins to sternly but more gently direct you through your tasks as though you were a flower being directed by something greater than you towards sunlight. And the pressure of it all becomes a little more bearable, holding onto that feeling that you’re being surrounded and held by him.
Until you get a little too comfortable and make a typing error on a letter to an important client.
(The movie is on tubi for free if you haven’t seen it, otherwise you can imagine how mad he gets. Mad enough to override the consequences of facing HR’s work regulations maybe hopefully?)

the concept you sent is GREAT. he's the type to feel real guilty real quick once he sees the unintended consequences of his actions. definitely starts acting a bit nicer after that incident
but i will say, i definitely see basically all the Link's to be generally pretty respectful, and i also like to write things to be a bit more explicitly consensual than most authors i think (unless i'm writing darker themes + stuff)

every mistake you make in the office is something he's mentally noting for later. punishments are things that have been talked about beforehand, because he knows you're sensitive and doesn't want to push you too far (basing the sensitive part on how the girl's said to be like that in the movie)

and rewards don't come often, an extreme rarity. but when they do, they're realllly good. 𝐥𝐚𝐰𝐲𝐞𝐫!𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 only has them for when you've done something exceptionally well or accomplished something big. it's usually something akin to letting you pick out exactly what happens that night, but never taking charge; that's his thing
