   Mukuro easily blended in with this sort of crowd, especially amongst other high-class individuals。 She didn’t really mind parties like this, actually she kind of really enjoyed them, Mukuro enjoyed dressing up fancy and mingling  although she wished for at least once she’d attend these just as a guest and not as a plus one which honestly sometimes felt like a job。 But thankfully she was able to breakaway from her date for the night and get some fresh air。

   As she stepped out onto the balcony, Mukuro released a small sigh, glad to have been able to break away even for a moment。 It was then she realized that she wasn’t all alone out here。

 「Sorry, I didn’t realize anyone else was out here,」 admittedly, she was a bit embarrassed at the thought of potentially having her sigh overheard。

“Please. They said they were putting me up against a strong opponent this time, but that guy and his deck were second rate. They were too easy.” Though this conversation was less about his win and more the fact Kyo had actually been there, especially when he’d thought the younger Manjoume said he would’ve been busy. 

“You should’ve told me you were gonna be there though. I would’ve saved you a seat up front.”

“Hmm taking a break wont be bad?” He glanced up  in thought. “You should relax for a moment.”

"Happy Birthday Father!" Kyo greeted, he had been thinking about this for a long time, even trying to prepare for the following year. It felt like it was getting harder to buy something for someone who had everything, what else did he want? What would he appreciate? "I bought you something," nerves kicking in, handing over the wrapped present, containing a prismatic Ojama Country and Ojama Pajama.

If only Kyo would’ve known just how perfect his present had been, then maybe Jun’s smile at the cards spoke for itself. He might’ve had more money than he knew what to do with sometimes, but prismatic cards were actually the one thing Jun’s deck was lacking. 

Back when he’d built his deck, looking fancy on the dueling field had taken a backseat to making a name for himself, and throwing out his old cards was something he couldn’t seem to do. But these-

“You know, you’re okay, kid.” The gift would earn Kyo one hair ruffle, just like when he was growing up.

“Manjoume Jun’s -  Child... you look like him in someways!” She smiled kindly offering her hand to shake in greeting.

"Hey Father." Kyo pauses, he never had asked until now, thinking it might be touchy but he wanted to know more about his family, more than just his amazing duelist of a father and his strict but mean uncles, back in their youth. "Could you tell me about your parents? What were they like?"

There’s a light “hmph,” the second Jun realizes what Kyo is asking, the older of the two close his eyes before lifting his arms up to cross stubbornly over his chest. There was a reason why he never mentioned his parents—Kyo’s grandparents—much at all. They’d never been around much when he’d been growing up; too busy off running whatever corporation nonsense they’d expected their sons to fall in suit with. 

Chousaku and Shouji had done just that; falling into the world of fame and fortune, and in a way…Jun guessed he had, too.

“You say that like I actually know. They were always busy, so they didn’t stick around much. If you really wanna know the truth, your two uncles were around me more than they ever were. They were okay, though. They always made sure we had enough, even if I barely saw them.” 

Then again, writing a check to make sure your kids were cared off while you were off on business abroad always seemed like a cheap way to live to him.
