CEOs Serve at Courtyard by Marriott

There they were, on a Thursday night, standing in an elegant dining room at the Courtyard by Marriott in Ronkonkoma, all of them chief executive officers of Long Island companies, large and small. They all were blue aprons as they stood behind steaming bowls of pasta, potatoes, lettuce and rolls.

While having local CEOs make coffee and bring meals to Sertinos Cafe customers was a great novelty act for people to see Sunday afternoon, it also was charitable as the event brought more than $1,000 in for Angela's House. To help raise funds for Angela's House, a non-profit organization that helps families care for medically frail children, Blu Chip Marketing and the cafe joined forces for "CEO Serves," where local prominent business people made and served the customers from noon to 2 p.m.

It’s always a strange sight seeing a boss out on the weekend. But in an apron? Well, that’s something no one should miss. Clay Darrohn, CEO of fishbat Digital Marketing, was on hand Sunday March 11 at Sertinos Café in Smithtown to serve lunch and help raise money for the non for profit organization, Angela’s House.
