I was texting my wife about how down I was feeling today. She made the Alexa in the kitchen (where I’m currently working) play Hadestown. Told me to stand up and dance through two songs, and then gave Alexa a message for me.

I've been feeling really down on myself lately...just feeling really unattractive, really self-conscious about how I look. Chelsea took this picture of me tonight - me after waking up from a three hour nap. We were cuddling, her laying on top of me, and she took my phone and took this picture. She showed it to me and said this is how she sees me. This beautiful, sexy girl, with red hair and smudged lipstick and my boobs hanging out. She told me that what I see in the mirror is a lie, because this is how she sees me. I'm gorgeous and she thanks the universe every day that she's married to me. I want to see myself how she sees me. I may not be able to see it every day, but I see it in moments like these.

So funny story...I spent a ridiculous amount of time working on answering this today at work, and then my phone crashed and I lost it all. So take two! This time on my laptop, using my new internet in my new house!

Hogwarts House: Hufflepuff. Growing up reading the books and watching the films, I really wanted to be Gryffindor. When I was first sorted by Pottermore, I was sorted into Slytherin. But further reflection (and the thoughtful opinion from my wife) really confirms that I’m a Hufflepuff.

Favorite Color:  Probably either blue or red. I look good in both. :)

Favorite Animal(s): Cats and Jellyfish.

Average hours of sleep: Probably between 6 and 8 hours? I have no idea.

Cat or dog person: I love both, but I think I prefer to own cats over dogs.

Favorite Fictional Characters: Oh Lord...oh so many. Fictional characters in books: Tybalt and The Luidaeg from Seanan McGuire’s October Daye series. TV Shows: Kate Beckett from Castle, Lorelai Gilmore from Gilmore Girls, Samantha Carter from Stargate: SG-1, Helen Magnus from Sanctuary, Killian Jones and Regina Mills from Once Upon a Time. The list could go on and on and on.

Number of blankets I sleep with: Depends on the night, but at least two.

Favorite Singer/Band: I will never get tired of hearing Josh Groban sing. Not ever.

Dream Trip: I want to take a cruise one day. And go back to London.

Dream Job: I don’t know if my current job is my dream job, but I absolutely love it and I can’t imagine actually doing anything else, so I’ll say this.

When was this blog created: I created this blog September of 2010, but I didn’t really start using it until March of 2011.

Current number of followers: 510, but a lot of them are older blogs that I don’t think are active anymore.

When did your blog reached its peak: I hope it hasn’t, but if it has, probably when I was the most active in the Castle fandom.

What made you decide to make a Tumblr: The incredible @charlotteconflicted wanted me to get a Tumblr and follow her, so I did. I started using it in March of 2011 when I gave up Facebook for Lent. And life was never the same.
