since this is coming up again, I would like to offer additional info for folks that are like "wait. could I have mcas?" dr lawrence afrin has a book called "never bet against occam" that I found to be much more comprehensive than anything I could ever find online, which is making it a lot easier to be pushy after years of suspicion. *warning: he is far more forgiving of mistakes made by his colleagues and himself than he rightly should be. please proceed with caution.*
Yeah, thanks for that. I have to admit, while I find his research invaluable, I’ve not been impressed with him as a physician. Unfortunate, but that’s the way it goes sometimes.
@cesium-sheep
your brain is a strange and confused little animal and it may not always understand the words but the way you talk to it still matters!
i gave myself apple cider bc i like apple cider and i needed the sugar!
but fr one of the best things for my brain was once i started my job and had gotten in the habit of praising the kids all the time, i found myself saying the same things to myself and it’s a delight
help, my partner was responding to me on autopilot and told me “you’re wife!” instead of “you’re cute”, and I made them laugh too hard at my reply! (“if I’m your wife, and you’re my wife, then who’s being the patriarch?!”)
good news I have stayed up far too late to read all of prince's gambit in one day after it and kings rising arrived in the mail and I'm gonna lose my fucking mind, many Things happened but it is especially the Happenings at the very end with the Arrival and oh my god (and I absolutely will read the short stories when I can, this is the most fun I've had with literally any reading in a very long time which is why I must yell in your inbox thanks)
aaah, PG is the best of the three i think, i just love the shenanigans and chemistry so much in it. KR is also very very fun though and the whole nikandros vs damen’s weakness to blonde hair thing is so funny :D
i’m glad you’re enjoying it, it’s srsly such a great series, i hadn’t read a book in years before i picked it up
Here’s something for the absolutely sweetest person I know online; @cesium-sheep HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I’m a bit late but here, accept this happy sheep Kirby, he has a big cake just for you~
Thank you for always being so supportive and kind, and most of all for always being here. Tumblr for me would be pretty lonely without you, please never go away. Love you <3 I hope you’ll have wonderful rest of the week and get many more presents and cakes and love~

I love how I can hear their voices when I’m reading this, and also I love that I can see the little Autistic Details that you’ve decided are important parts of carlos, it makes me really look forward to having brainspace to read all plans are golden :>
those details are 1000% from It Devours! and i will continue to preach its gospel until more people read that book
but thank you regardless! i love writing these voices.
cesium-sheep replied to your post: i miss being in the south park fandom ask me...
what’s your favorite bit of fanon?
a lot of old stuff doesnt really apply anymore but, i always kind of thought it was funny people used to think craig and stan were half-brothers? like randy was craigs dad or smth
ive never actively applied it to anything but it was one of the best examples of people jumping to their own conclusions because sp gave us vague impressions of families but people always wanted deeper drama
kind of like now? ive always just liked how creative fandom gets when the show only gives us bare cardboard-cutout bones to work from
