x I was once told by a white artist that their choice of pastel color pallets didn’t accommodate darker skin tones and that’s why they could only make fair skin poc characters. This was during a time when one of my friends had this really cool idea for international magi soldiers that were blessed by the gods of their nation and this artist choice to do ancient Egyptian.

x They also told me that Egyptians weren’t black. And while I’m super fucking aware that Egypt is a melting bot, you can’t tell me that those that lived back in those days didn’t have fairly dark skin from the constant sun beaming down on them.
