cherise had a good point. if she focused more on her own content that she could control, maybe eventually she could find a great group of supporters. with that being said, it was also an opportunity to welcome even more of those unwanted opinions. it was a double-edged sword, because there was something so addicting about being in the spotlight. she didn't want to fade away completely from it, plus this was a means to income. she sat in thought for a moment, looking off in the distance with her chin rested on the palm of her soft hand. this was not ceyda's day. as always, she found herself in her sister's shadow. she would've much rather have been anywhere else but at nehir's big house party, but she needed to keep up appearances for the crowd to know that she was being a supportive sister, attending all of the older sibling's events. plopped up on the kitchen counter with her legs swinging a bit, she quickly downed a shot, scrunching her face at the burn of the liquor before realizing someone was watching. "you totally didn't see that.. i can manage my liquor, that one was just.. too big of a shot." / @temptedfates

ceyda was trying not to draw too much attention to the 'festive' decoration hanging above the two. eyes only subtly glancing up every now and then whenever august wasn't looking, she couldn't help but feel a jolt of nerves. part of her wanted to just not mention it and attempt to ignore it, but there was always the 'what if' in the back of her mind. fuck it, she thought to herself, taking a big gulp of her drink before mentioning the mistletoe above the two. "see that above us? you should bring nehir over here sometime and pull a move on her." she internally facepalmed for directing the attention back on her sister, but it was the logical thing to do, of course.
