ACTUALLY pretty much everything in this game is inspired and modelled after TENGEN tetris. Because Nintendo’s Tetris for NES sucks balls.
three different default gamemodes. Classic, Super (Occasionally drops pentominoes, drastically harder), and PENTOMINOVICH™ (Enlarges the play area and plays ONLY with pentominoes, but also includes a single dot that occassionally shows up, DON’T PLAY WITHOUT HOLD piece or you wont make it far)
but also option screen to fully customize the game and go nuts with the setup. like random garbage attacks, random blocks, play only with pentominoes, play with pentominoes AND tetrominoes, enlarge the playfield, VANISHING TETRIS (pieces slowly fade out after you drop them so you gotta rely on your memory), play only with the square piece, idk everything anything
the options screen is still kind of off-aesthetic but it’s fully functional idk, advanced shit, might change.

oh well, can’t let it go to waste; it’s a functional, unfinished “tracker” format/system using CF25 sound samples and channels and the whole song is coded inside a string; which is a sequence of commands, like midi does, but way more rustic. there’s kind of no point to me to keep going if it’s too slow to work on android but still it works good on pc I guess...
Anyway, here’s the MFA and a compiled EXE, just in case it’s of use to any of you, or if you want to toy around with it or something. Anyway, all the working shit is a single active object. the rest of shit is just to visualize.
try pressing keys, they do things (such as Page up and down, or S, D, F, O, P, 1, 5, 6 [i’m manually changing chords in the video, the song is actually just a simple looping melody as you can see from the text on the right], etc idk; G is to slam the drums and ENTER advances one single line, SPACEBAR to pause and F12 to silence everything, F9 disables debug info to speed-up, HOME restarts the song; tap the second button on the right to erase the debug text to improve performance)
