‘Full meal deal’: B.C. search-and-rescue training flight saves hypothermic men, dog

The rescue happened around 3 p.m., after an 87-year-old man and his son found themselves in frigid waters when their boat capsized around Quarry Bay near Texada Island. I LOVE where we live, now!!! Our new house is situated riiight under the circuit path for military aircraft doing touch & goes at the base, and this is a common sight. Seeing as I'm Aurora/Orion obsessed, I'm not complaining any!!! Sorry the photo quality isn't that great, I took it with my cellie.
19 AMS Anti-cap!!!
Soo. I was in the 19 AMS (Air Maintenance Squadron) Supply today, and was trying to order some red thread. (believe it or not, its almost impossible to get, and costs $4 apiece) I went to the usual civilian DND worker who's the best at her job in there, and commented on her dolphin sticker on her desk. Needless to say, half an hour later I said I had to get back to work...she is VERY knowledgeable about all going on in the orca & dolphin anti-captivity movement, and says she's quite involved in the "SeaWorld vs. Blackfish" Facebook group. I didn't mention one single captivity issue or event she didn't already know about. I loooved it!!! :D
