Due to heavy brain 🧠 fog and fatigue ( #cfssucks ), it has taken me forever to finish this #crochetshrug , but I finally did tonight. I’m proud of myself for not giving up and finishing it. I also finished #thenighttiger by #yangszechoo . I somehow keep choosing #reesesbookclub choices the last one being #wherethecrawdadssing which is one of my favorites for this year and I have to say this one is right up there with it. I picked this one because I love books based on folktales/fables. I fell in love with them when I had to take a storytelling class as part of becoming a preschool teacher. I had students from so many different countries who brought in stories I’d never heard before and I loved it. The Night Tiger 🐅 includes many different tales from China and Malaysia, but the main one that pulls the characters of this story together has to do with the weretiger. You don’t know if the weretiger is real or just someone playing on the fears the tales have brought amongst the locals and expatriates and that fear drives the story forward.
