Cardfight Vanguard Vancouver Regional Qualifier Report!!

So as posted earlier I went to the Vancouver Qualifier! I had a ton of fun. Gonna do the matches then other stuff like highlights afterwards:

Round 1 prisims: This guy was cool. he went to my locals and has like a hlaf sp bermuda deck. So on turn 2 called Tank mammoth and got my opponent to 3 damage then swung with vg, got crit pushed him to 5 damage. From there, on his stride i was at 4, he got 2 crits after i pg’d the vg and he put the 2 crits on his rg and I had to guard both.The match went back and forth until i strode to archraider for game.

Game 2: darkface. I had to g-assit 4 times for a grade 2. I was sure I was gonna lose but I held on. I finally rode grade 3 and he g guarded after I strode. He went to Obtarandus and I survived with pgs then I strode to archraider and killed my booster for a more retire threat. I got another pg to hand. He then made a interesting choice and strode into darkface and i had no field. I pg’d and went to gluttony dogma on a dark rex Heart an won on a 1 to pass.

Game 3: altmile brave. He got to ride grade 3 first, but I g-guarded, preceded to go to dogma 2 turns. Then i set up dark rex and won

Game 4: kagero legend, x, end. I started out with 3 grade 3’s in hand 2 dark rex and 1 gaia,  and had to g assist for a 1. Got a few lucky heals on 5. He did well keeping my board low. But i got to stride and formed an 11k column with prisim bird and a trigger. Used grado gigant and got a crit while he was on 4. He had 4 grade 3′s in hand by the time the match was done.

Game 5: victor. He rushed me after I g assisted. Then i strode and pushed him to 4. Then he came at me hard with a first stride bustard. I got 2 heals on 4 damage. Took the 5th damage so that way my next turn was set up. Then called my hand and strode to dogma. Got the game after he had 3 grade 3s in hand

Game 6: time leap. I would like to say this guy went to worlds and it was an honor playing him. The match started out in my favor but he quickly went to warp drive and i kept barley surviving. But then after the second warp drive he went into Phoenix and won.

So the record for the regular rounds 5-1

Made cut top 8. Got 5th

Round 1 top 8: gurguit ezel. Game 1 he didnt get to grade 3, I used sebreeze and got a lucky double crit while he was on 3 damage. Game 2 i strode into grado gigant after I grade 2 rushed him. He perfect guarded the attack thanks to gurguit’s gb2. He swung with gurguit stride after buffing his field, he didn’t get a crit so i survived. I Strode to gradogigant again and he guarded that attack, then i swung with a tyrannobrute, then engorged 2 units which were freezernyx and baby. I used nyx first then baby, and made a 33k column after boost he couldn’t guard. Result 2-0

Round 2 top 8 time leap from round 6. First game he g assisted for a grade 3 i believe. Then after surviving 2 time leap turns and eating his hand with dogma 2 turns in a row. Then after him not getting any cards to hand i used archraider for the finish. Then game 2 he couldn’t get to grade 2. I rushed him at that point and added pressure after he put me at 4 damage with dark rex. Result 2-0

Game 3 top 8: kagero overlord. First game I rode tyrannobrute sadly and didnt hit triggers. He pushed me hard to 5 damage and went to novelle after i dark rexed. Then game 2 i g assisted. Game went back and forth until i went 2 to pass on the legend.he swung at my rg he got 1 crit. He got 2 crits after his restand. And that was game. Result 0-2

So I second place overall, getting an invite and all payed trip to continentals! I’m so proud of myself and my deck. It played really well. A few highlights from the first day, I got my 4th aboros dragon g3 so I’ll be ready to play that deck when the support gets here. Also got a raphael for my angels deck. 

There was a match that happened with one guy I knew. He played nociel and he was playing against great nature. they both went into time and the noicel player suggested rolling a die to determine a winner ( cause time out was double game loss, but they let people do dice rolls. if they wanted) the great nature player was hesitant even though it was explained well to him. The nociel player didn’t care out the loss but pushed more for the dice roll. They agreed for a high roll and the nociel player rolled an 11. The great nature player was pretty pissed and backed out of the dice roll and decided on a double game loss for both of them. 

Lots of really cool players, dude got hyped playing daikaiser, did the whole chant and everything. Was pretty awesome. Saw some players from locals, saw players that went to arg as well so that was awesome. But yeah Second place for myself and if you couldn’t tell I played Tachikaze. So damn proud of that. Pretty excited for continentals in two months cause It’ll be a first for me!

Friends of mine are playing buddyfight tomorrow, I may Idk. But I’m gonna get some trades and other stuff I’m missing tomorrow! Catch you later doods!

This is the second deck for tonight. This one obviously is for Dark Irregulars and no it’s not an Amon build!

So our starter is werfleder, who cb1 soulcharges 2 and draws 1. Our triggers are 8 crit, 4 draw, 4 heal with the heals being amon to help the amon crit just in case to get more retires. Shirley SC(soulcharges 1 and puts her self into soul) helps get the soul built up faster and helps out grade 1′s and 2′s.

Dollmaster pretty much is a SC of 3 at the beginning of your main phase. Pure Love helps stride and find scharhrot. Flag Breaker and march Rabbit are our perfect guards cause variety! And lastly Doreen the thruster, for each card put in to soul during your main phase she gets +3k. So by using Rigil’s 2nd skill, she get’s +15k becoming a 21k booster!

Grade 2 wise, succubus SC 1...nice and simple. Emblem master on hit cb1 and SC 3, so good early pressure soulcharging. And Lastly Izaya is pretty much the same as doreen but needs you to be in legion. Soooo possibly huge columns!

Vampir is the generation card. Gb2 says if 6 or more he gets 10k, if 10 or more he also gets a crit. And on stride Cb 1, SC 2, and when your vanguard attacks, if you have 6 or more in soul, your opponent has to retire a rg. Possibly one of my favorite skills to use in this deck. Rigil is our legion with Izaya, and when you have 10 or more in soul cb 2 and your opponent retires 2 rgs OR if you have 15 in soul they retire 3 instead. And if you soul blast a copy of a card on your vg circle, SC 5. Gets up to 15 Soul pretty quickly. And kinda the odd ball in my deck Blade Wing Reijy. If you have 15 cards in soul, he gets +2 crit so 3 crit swinging. And when he appears on vg choose a rg and put up to 3 copys into your soul. This card is in here for fun and other reasons. He can either be a close finisher or a early finisher depending on how the match is going. 

The strides are simple, Blizza cb1 and flip something face up and it gets +5k for every face up card in your gzone. Lira says if she hits and you have 6 in soul, SC2 and draw. A good stride to go into early. Then Rais the big baddie for the strides, flip a copy face up, if you have 10 in soul he gets +10k and if you have 15 in soul you can’t card with grade 1′s or higher from hand. Oh and if you have 2 or more face up in the g zone he gets an extra critical. He is another awesome finisher for this deck.

Cardfight!!: Tachikaze decklist!

Yo! So this is one of many deck lists (8 in total) I’ll be posting for Cardfight!! Vanguard. This first one as you can tell is my Tachikaze deck, my main clan. I’d like to say that this probably isn’t top tier, but it is most comfortable way for me to play this deck. Maybe I’ll rebuild Raptors later or something else but this is the main one for me! Onto the deck!

Column on the right has Tyrannobite and iguanogorg.

Column on the left has Knightarmor and Beamtero. 

Middle column has Tyrannoquake in legion  after a break ride and something behind it and bind zone has darkrex (extra 3k given to knightarmor.)

Now swing with right column, then left and use knightarmor to retire iguanogorg for a 21k column. Then use cb1 to bring back Iguanogorg. Then swing with Tyrannoquake and use skill to retire Tyrannobite then cb1 for its skill to call it back. this will be 40+k 3crit. Stack triggers on bite. Attack failed? re-ride to Dark Rex and give it 3k from beamtero. Swing with it and stack more triggers on bite. Then swing with bite. This is the big play from the deck. Now there is a lot of different combos to use but this one is the big one. 

Now I don’t run the lb enabler for one reason, darkrex. Yeah the deck rushes. But if I’m at 3 damage I can’t use darkrex for further rush cause the lb enabler only targets the vg circle. So as another option I can just keep up the attacks and stride. Then switch to legion. Or just sit on legion and use spinodriver for stride or sack fodder.

Let me know what you guys think. I love this deck and it’s super fun to play. I can’t wait for the support later on but it needs to get here sooner! Thanks for looking doods!

Welp. Made 1-3 with Musketeer. Nothing much to say, I dont really play well ‘cause I made it like two days ago. And too much troll from opponents’ Decks.

There we go ! Today I’ll play Musketeer for the tournament.

My Thing Saver Dragon Deck is bleh with TSD copies “yeah go to the damage zone, yeah get me with Drive Check !”)

Overlord Deck is more like a fun thingie than a real stable Deck (11 G3s dude, how it is supposed to work correctly ?)

Cant play Witch (mixed with Shadow Paladins) anymore because fo “Clan Fight” Format.

Revenger Deck.... well not really made for Legion.

So there we go for Musketeer, pretty fun to play, it got a REAL early game with a heavy rush at G2, and since the goal is to stay some time a t G2, opponent playing full Legion/Stride will prolly play a vanilla Dedck.
