🪐He has such a hard time sitting still, so playtime is whenever he feels like it!!! Physical activities are some of his favorite things.

🔭He builds clockwork windup toys for you!

🪐Loves to play tag with you in the safer areas of the Invincible II, if you ever try to go anywhere dangerous he’s quick to redirect your attention.

🔭He can genuinely take care of any regressor: baby, teenager, pet, creature, anybody! He’s very adaptable.

🪐he built a mobile for his little for when they’re feeling extra small! It has planets, stars, and a little model of the ship on it.

🔭He secretly loves taking care of baby regressors, they give him cuteness aggression.

🪐You know that clip of Mark jingling his keys? That’s literally him trying to get your attention.

🔭Even though he’s really hyper, he tries not to overwhelm his baby. He doesn’t want them to feel like he’s too much!

🪐Sometimes he lets his little one play Captain, AKA he lets the regressor “tell him what to do” and he does it with extreme enthusiasm, it’s really cute!!!

🔭He likes to stargaze with his regressor!

🪐He teaches his little one about anything and everything, he loves answering questions!

Hi hi! Was wondering if you have any headcannons for how the apocalypse/end of the world egos (Simon, Dave, and Engineer Mark) would be as a caregiver to a regressor in their world. As in actively going through the situation with them. Of course feel free to skip over this, as the situations themselves are heavy and I understand. Just curious!

Hmm….lemme see what I can cook up……

Simon is well aware that taking care of a baby after the rapture is one of the hardest things you could do, but the look in your eyes when you’re relaxed and happy makes everything worth it to him. He boards towels and blankets to stitch into a blanket for you, gives you some of his food that he’s stocked up on in his room, and even sings you songs that his mother taught him in Eden.

Dave knows regressing right now is dangerous, so until the two of you get to the island, you’re fighting your regression and repressing it at every turn. Once you’re both safe, though? Dave is constantly cuddling and napping with you!!! The two of you are never too far apart, and he’s very protective of you.

Engineer Mark loved to play tag with you and run around the Invincible II before the wormholes began to open up. Whenever everything goes back to normal, though, Mark is extra clingy, often refusing to let you out of his sight in our out of headspace; not that you seem to mind though. He’s a very silly papa who loves to build things for you, and is always trying to make you feel safe.

Hi! Do you think the cg’s would be able to carry a regressor? (Actor, Wilford, Dark, Murdock, Yancy, etc. (I said a lot to give many examples of cgs sorry if its too much!)) I mean although our minds are kidlike we are in adult bodies are they strong enough or do they got some sort of magic? Idk I just thought of it because I wish I could be carried... Sorry for the long ask!

Actor: He can on occasion, but not often! It depends on if he’s prepared for it.

Wilford: yes!!! Even though he doesn’t remember being the Colonel, he still has that military strength!

Dark: yes, but not for long periods of time! Usually only for a few feet/across the room.

Murdock: probably not! I think he threw his back out and hasn’t been the same since-

Yancy: definitely!!! He’s very very strong

Simon: No, similarly to Murdock, I think he has a bad back.

Googleplier: yeah, he’s a robot!!!

Bing: No, he just doesn’t like to-

Annus: similar to Dark, he can carry you, but not far!

Engineer Mark: probably not, but he’s gonna try!!!

Headcannons for caregivers Yancy, engineer, and Simon with a little who cannot handle scolding. At all, not even the tiniest bit, not even if it's just a light hearted jab or joke. They won't meltdown immediately but they will shutdown, no talking, facing their body away, nodding to everything. Essentially becoming physically small enough in body language until they can find a small enclosed area to hide in, like a closest.

Of course no pressure to answer as it's a bit on the heavier side and not the happy regression often shown on social media, but just didn't have a great time the other day and thinking about favorite characters always helps

Yancy learned quickly that you can’t handle any sort of scolding after he accidentally snapped at you after a bad day. He didn’t realize you were small, and he felt absolutely awful when he saw you run off to hide. He sat outside of the closet, giving you time to calm down until you approached him. Once you’re a little less anxious, he pulls you into his lap and gives you the biggest hug, rubbing your back and promising you that you’re not in trouble, and that he’s very sorry for snapping at you.

Engineer Mark is less likely to yell at you, but he has been known to lash out when frustrated by making comments at you, even if he doesn’t mean to. He’s very quick to apologize and assure you that he’s just frustrated, but that isn’t enough in your tiny mind, so you run away. This shifts his feelings from frustrated to heartbroken as he watches you cry from your hiding place, so he does what he does best; he builds you something. A few minutes later, a very silly little wind-up toy is left so that you can see it, and when you come out to get it from Mark, he apologizes once more and gives you the biggest hug he can.

Simon isolates himself from you when you’re small and he’s frustrated or angry to completely avoid the risk of scaring you. While this does work in theory, in reality it convinces you that he’s mad because of you, so you end up hiding from him anyways. When he realizes what‘s happening, Simon is very gentle with you, barely speaking above a whisper as he promises you that he’s not angry with you, he just doesn’t feel the best. He suggests you do your favorite things with him to cheer him up, so you both feel better by the end of it.

Eeee Papa Engie (Engineer Mark) I had a really good day today! I was super duper productive an got lots of stuff done and then I got to chill out and talk to friends. Den tomorrow is my last final and I done and it summer!! Yay yay! Plus in some weeks i go an hang out with my older sister for a couple weeks an get to keep building our sibling relationship since we half siblings, far apart in age, and didn’t see each other much early on. I so excited! Gonna watch all our favorite shows together <33

Back to my favorites. I am highly biased. Headcannons for caregivers Yancy, Engineer, Simon, and Dave with little who isnt used to/not fully comfortable having a cg. The openness and vulnerability is scary. Their little is still a bit jumpy and has the tendency to hide in their room. Sometimes when they hear the front door being opened they jump up with all their stuff and race off to their room before they can be seen, or at least try to not be seen.

Yancy understands how frightening it is to suddenly feel exposed and think it’s scary; he spent years in prison, associating vulnerability with danger. He gently knocks on the door to your room, opening the door and promising you that you’re safe and that you can ease into regressing as much as you need.

Engineer Mark is a little sad at first, he wants to take care of you so badly! He figures out quickly that the vulnerability of it all is scary, so the two of you sit down and talk about it so that even if you’re scared, you can tell him you’re small and he won’t push you more than he thinks necessary.

Simon, like Yancy, is very understanding of your feelings. He doesn’t push you to regress around him, but instead leaves himself available and nearby so that if you do want or need something he can help. He won’t make you do anything you don’t want to do, but he does enjoy it when you do open up to him.

Dave doesn’t “take care of you” as much as he sits nearby and let you play near him. He also lets you cuddle into his side and cry as much as you need when everything is overwhelming, and eventually tucks you in, promising that you’ll feel better after a nap.
