Cg! Wally Darling

nicknames for you: Darling, Apple, Dear, my most, Sweetheart, Honey, Little one, Sweetie. Usually puts “my” in front of them

He is in a kids tv show so of course he’s great with kids!! Kids of any age watch his show so any kid of any age he will take care of. 

He has voice smooth like bob ross. He loves to talk to you while he paints. Complimenting you gently as he brushes paint onto the canvas. He may be monotone but he is very expressive through the meanings of his words. 

Shares activities with you and loves it so much. Especially painting, he hangs any painting you make and wears or displays any crafts you make. He loves your creativity even if you don’t think you have much. He has a hard time deciding whether he likes you painting with you in his lap or painting together. If he can’t decide he likes to paint on the same canvas with you in his lap. 

Talks about you to the others a lot, especially to Barnaby. He brags about you a lot and loves to update Barnaby on you. Julie teases him a lot about it but how could he help himself not talk about the biggest joy in his life?! 

Freezes and gets embarrassed easily by their apple. Can you blame him? You’re the apple of his eye and you walked in on him painting and drawing you. He has memorized your face so he doesn’t need to see you to draw you but he’d prefer to see that little face of yours. He has a sketchbook filled with only you and has an apple on the cover of it. He isn’t ashamed to draw you but even with all his skill he feels he never captures you perfectly. Could make the Mona Lisa of you but still calls it not as pretty as you. 

Home, Barnaby, and Julie (if she promises to not let you eat too many sweets) are your permanent babysitters. He trusts home the most, even if you can’t understand it, they can understand you and your needs. They can make food, bring you drinks, pet you with their curtains, and do a lot. Of course they have limits to what they can do but they can still take care of you quite well! Barnaby is like an uncle to you! He loves to play games with you, excluding some like tag because he’s scared he may trample you and he would be devastated to the core. He also makes sure you takes a lot of walks and visit all the other neighbors! Julie is the fun aunt. Shes chaotic but still can take good care of you. Definitely willing to let you stay up past your bedtime. 

Loves watching you. Not in a creepy way but like a bird watching it’s young to make sure it’s not going to crawl out the nest. Everytime he watches you inside of home, home always bumps a tile under his foot to remind him staring is a bit rude. He follows you everywhere like a lost dog, except he’s not lost he’s right where he wants to be.  

Takes you shopping at Howdy’s shop to buy you new toys, bottles, pacifiers, diapers, etc. He loves helping you pick out different things for yourself. It’s a small selection but there are some options. He also enjoys the walk to Howdy’s shop a lot. On the way there he likes to swing your hand in his while he hums.

Short problems

-This boi c a n n o t reach the top shelf

-so he has to ask his (most likely taller) little to do it for him

-if he's little, then he asks his Cg to do it for him

-or he asks to be picked up to reach it

-if they're like 4 feet tall then he climbs up the shelves like a cat

-he cannot pick his little up to do anything, like cradle them until they fall asleep

-if he's little and he gets picked up for no reason then get ready for loads of grumpyness

-when he'a little, he plans on escaping his bed to try and do adult things

-but the space under his bed fits him so well that little him is scared a monster will drag him under the bed and eat him

-he climbs on the counter to meet his Cg/little's height

-he needs a stool to do almost everything

-his Cg/little still loves him tho

Cg!Wally x little!reader fanfic 

No matter how many smiles, gifts, and friendly neighbors. It still doesn’t cover up that very look you saw on Wally. No safe, leave, need to leave. So you did or so you tried. One night after Wally had tucked you into your crib you waited. You waited til your little brain couldn’t wait any longer. So you quietly snuck out of your crib and out your nursery. Quickly tip toeing to the door with your support stuffie in hand. But you’re so focused on escaping Wally you over look them. House. You see their curtain eyes open to your small form. The tiles beneath your feet clicking, lifting, talking to you. Whether or not you could understand house, you knew their message. You knew to go back to bed. But deciding whether or not to go back to bed was your biggest mistake, you took too much time. House had alerted Wally. 

“My apple, what are you doing awake? Did you have a nightmare?” The low voice of Wally reached your ears. 

You turn to see a sleepy Wally walking towards you, scooping you up in his plush arms, and stuffing your head against his chest. He mumbled to himself while walking back to your nursery. He entered the nursery with you in tow, setting you down in your bed and tucking you in

“Do you want me to read you a bedtime story, my most?” Without thinking you nod and feel yourself drift off to sleep while he reads to you. 

First try, failed. 

It’s the next night and this time you’ll get it. Wally tucks you into your bed again then you wait. After waiting for what feels like forever you take your support stuffie then crawl out your bed and this time crawl around the house to be quieter. You crawl and make it to the door where you turn the knob slowly. With some hesitation you open the door and suddenly curtains fly open and their eyes are on you. Panicking you slip out of house and run. You aren’t sure where you’re running to but you run past the neighborhood. Thick forestry is all you can see as you bolt. Then, an edge. It’s like theres just nothingness when you look down. Staring at it you feel lost, small, and not knowing what to do next. Everything now seems so big, the edge feels so close yet far away at the same time. You hug your support stuffie in your arms, not knowing what else to do but that. Warm tears slip down your cheeks and soak into your stuffie. 

“Oh my, darling, you must’ve had a terrible nightmare. It’s okay now, Wally will tuck you in and make all the bad things go away.” His voice softer, lower, cooing as he open his arms for you.

You’re frozen for what seems like ages, staring at his open arms. Like your body isn’t in control, you cry harder and crawl into his arms. Crushing your stuffie as you cling to him and cry into his shoulder. Too big, everything is just too big, too much. He comforts to softly by petting you and stroking your back. You don’t remember when or how you made it back but you woke up right where he left you that night, in your crib. You failed, but you’re home now, and everyone is so glad. Welcome home, Apple.

I just thought of an hc for Wally trying to deal with a bratty little being a brat and refusing to take a dang nap.

So, imagine Wally says "little neighbor, it's time to go Ni-ni" but you don't want to go Ni-ni so you throw a tantrum to try and get what you want. He gives you the "i'm not dealing with this right now" face. Then he gets an idea. Says "if you don't sleep (childhood spoopy monster) is gonna get ya" type of parenting trick. If that doesn't work then he just drags you into bed anyways.
