Orihime brings up a pretty good point that I think tends to get overlooked a lot in world-hopping fantasies.
...And then proceeds to flip it on its head! I mean, yeah--Rukia's family and friends are currently trying to kill her, so that kind of tips the scales in the whole "take her away from the people and life she knows" dilemma.

In many other anime, this is probably where Orihime would dip out of the plot for a while, having served to give the main character the push of reassurance he needed. Thankfully for us (me), she just unlocked powers of her own AND realized the chances of Ichigo not getting hurt without a supervisor are close to nil!
