I think 夜明け/yoake (‘dawn’) is a pretty word in Japanese. The 夜/yo means ‘night,’ and the 明け/ake, which uses the kanji for ‘shine/bright,’ means something like ‘brightening.’ The brightening of the night.

This doesn’t have much directly to do with One Piece, but it’s all I could think of when reading Pedro’s death.
