what hobbies does america have? what does he enjoy to do whenever he's able to or just generally like? i feel like while america would have his own interest but he'd also do stuff just to make himself seem more human and hide that uncanny feeling he's got going for him

like how politicians will eat fast food alot to make themself seem more "human" in a sense

you know i like to think he'd be really passionate about golfing. this is because i despise golfing and its participants. other than that i assume he's usually too busy working to have many hobbies...

uuu, good question.. i think as far as relations go he only has genuine ones with like, the closest of family? so like, his parents (france and the uk) and closest brother (canada). those few are probably the only ones who have seen him in constant B) mode.. don't be fooled though he's probably worse to them because of it. the other 2 in the p5 have also seen him like that in meetings but he doesn't consider them friends.

i assume america in his 13 colonies era was much more chaotic in nature due to being more akin to a fusion than something more solid like he became when the constitution got placed. i dont have much on him but that recklessness continues until post-civil war

i am always willing to contribute to the end of eurocentrism in this fandom 🫡 (still sad that nobody talks about african countries)

mexico is probably a middle ground in north america, personality-wise atleast. she doesn't have the outgoing and almost robotic nature of america, and she doesn't have the incredibly timid nature of canada. by all means, she's just a middle ground inbetween the 3. the grounder that makes sure neither of the other two get out of hand. does it work? perhaps.

on her own she's a very cheerful person, almost never letting others get her down. her happiness often radiates onto others, its infectious. is there some dark secret she's hiding behind it? no! not really, she accepts her problems and tries to fix them, but she's still an optimist at heart. tries her best despite all her issues

i can't say i know much about mexican international relations, but from what i can tell i can say she's pretty good friends with austria? while mexico did have some issues previously with his mother (cough the execution of maximilian i) generally the two hang out a lot and enjoy good times together, including flying! mexico does care for austria despite everything, and like all her friends she cares a lot about him.

she loves to swim. she fucking loves to swim its one of her favorite activities aside from flying. she finds it really fun and she loves the ocean in general! she also likes football (soccer) a lot, moreso watching than playing though.

now that I think of it: Ireland hcs?

i thought of a few while i was drawing her with poland!

ireland is uniquely feisty- she will gladly fight until the very end for causes even if the belief in them wanes over time. she refuses to back down from anything even if it causes her bodily harm, and while that has caused some issues down the line overall it just makes her look like kind of a badass.

her childhood was.. rough! to say the least. i don't know who her parent(s) is(are?) but it was pretty young they "disappeared" (died) and she (and her sister) were took in (like half-kidnapped) by the uk and were treated absolutely great (awfully he hated their asses for no reason) for like, all of their life. the uk was an absolutely shit dad to them thats for sure

eventually ireland left her adoptive parent but her sister was still too young to which. Agh fuck the troubles augh. oooow fuck the troubles ahhhhhhhh yeah ireland couldnt really do shit because she was, ykno, not in custody of northern ireland or whatever. so that sucked

anyways ireland (and her sister) are pretty good friends with germany vietnam and bosnia on the basis of the fact that the two want to do the same as all three of the others did, being fusion. the two just want a united ireland but NI is still under uks control so thats not happening for a while lol! (also in northern irish politics its barely a majority that wants to unite with ireland so thats another reason i suppose? perhaps NI in the ch world isn't too keen on the idea but it warming up to it. anything to get away from that bastard of a parent)

some misc stuff i suppose, she's catholic. i imagine she gets together with other catholic countries to celebrate christmas and whatnot. she enjoys reading and is rather good at winning arguments on technicalities. she's honestly pretty selfless most of the time despite her fierceness for loved ones.

throughout her history she hasn't been one to be unkind to anyone. she's very bad at setting boundaries and it's been a very heavy detriment to her character throughout the years. she still has issues telling people 'no' but she's always willing to help.

she has a good relationship with the other baltics as well as the nordic countries. she's still trying to get into the nordic council.. we'll see how that goes.

she's surprisingly compassionate! will do anything for a friend even if it means getting hurt in the process. she loves loves LOVES long walks on the countryside and snow related-activites. always smiling.

i cannot stop thinking about americA'S relationship w/ soviet after the whole. cold war thing. for me its like america thinks about soviet a lot more that others thinks he does and its not in the hatred/raging gamer way? sort of more chilledout/tired way? also do you have any headcanons for what happens to a countryhuman when they die? like any afterlife headcanons?

like, after the ussr dies? america doesnt think about the ussr much. he only mentions him if it's a talking point in an argument with russia, like ohh your father was so bad i bet youll be the same. when the cold war kinda simmered in the final few years america was.. cordial with the ussr at best. he kinda acted like nothing happened lol.

while she is pretty okay when it comes to general mental wellbeing, her other siblings find her Very annoying and dont really talk with her much.. although shes always been some of an outcast- youngest in the family, only one that doesnt speak serbo-croat as her main language.. she dealt with a bad seizure when she was younger and was prescribed medication she never takes. she has beef with greece and bulgaria and finds joy irritating them on purpose. the weird sunbeams from her head can be redirected to blind people. shes been told the rays make her look somewhat angelic...
