Day 4.5 - Let’s Have Some Fun

Now that our party has arrived, they’re off to make this an unforgettable night - especially at the expense of others. While Delilah Demon and her imp partner are off having drinks, Lady Luck puts some guests under her musical spell, and King Dice has found a familiar pair of cups to torment.

This means it’s time to include some cameos from other people’s Cuphead OCs! Under the siren’s spell are:

Day 3: What to Wear?

Our two pairs are dressed up and ready for the ball! The other guests will take notice and caution - what if Luck sings the partygoers into a trance? What if the Devil’s nearby? There may be debtors at this ball, what if King Dice is after their contracts? Lots to be wary now that these four are here!

Or…..maybe they’re just here for the ball and to dance the night away. You never know.

[This took me almost a week…so it’s almost an entire week late. I really didn’t want to fall behind, but due to my detail-oriented art style, things take too long. I should try drawing in a more simplified art style, or go back to drawing the canonical rubber hose style to save time (I really struggled with the hands in the bottom one, so much so that I copied a hand from an earlier picture I drew last month). I can say I’ve learned not to get so hung up on small details for an event like last week’s which had a new prompt a day, though I strongly believe in pushing myself since I’m far from where I want to be skill-wise. Just going with flat color without the rendering is what I consider “simple and time saving!”]

Day 4: The Big Night

Uh-oh…is King Dice planning something sinister to ruin everybody’s fun? Hopefully, at least, the night will be a grand one for these four, but I’m not sure if I can say the same will be for anyone else. Who can say?

[pardon the terrible dialogue. I really had trouble thinking of what Dice would say in this picture, and usually I write the dialogue before I draw it, at least with comics but I didn’t plan that far ahead here. Oh well, this took me long enough as it is, and I don’t want to go back and change his mouth. Parts 5 and extra should be out next week - unless I can work fast enough to get them all done this week. HA!.]

Day 2: Who should I ask?

Is it against the rules to use a canon character? I don’t have anybody to collab with, so..this is what I ended up doing. Meanwhile, Delilah Demon asks out a random imp. What could go wrong, with all these villains going to the Inkwell Ball? Maybe we don’t want to know…

[This is a day late because I ended up with a whole comic so…it took me a whole day and a half! Gotta just focus on getting it done and not making it look pretty, but damn I love how Dice’s hands in that second panel turned out. Those gestures!]
