Ok so, since Tumblr is being an over protective Christian mother int he worse possible ‘Carrie’ sort of way, I’m going to ask that ya’ll reblog and spread the word about your favorite writers and artists again. Likes are nice, but reblogging is way better. And with the way things are and tags and searches being literally nonexistence, we need you so much! I know activity has gone way, way down for me and other writers and artists, and now, it’s gotten so much worse. Tumblr has literally fucked up being able to search for anything at all. Your reblogs mater and are so important. If you want to keep seeing content from us, please, for the love of god, reblog. I hate asking this, but it means the world to me to be able to keep creating here. If Tumblr keeps fucking up then a lot of your fvaorite artists and writers may move elsewhere. Hopefully Tumblr will get everyone back to working order soon, but for now, YOU are the most important thing to us creators.

Agreed. Nobody likes or wants to guilt trip but the reality is that, especially if you create mature content or content that could be deemed risky (such as LGBT content) most specifically to advertisers, creators need help in getting their works out there because as we are seeing in real time the built in tools of the system are falling to pieces. Algorithm, what algorithm?! Thus we rely on others to reblog, moreso now than normal (and we already rely on them a lot) to gain exposure and, in the case of those of us who are selling art, pay the bills. It’s why I constantly re-reblog my work: I love making art but as a creator love isn’t eyes on my work or money in my pocket or food in my stomach.

So please consider, if you like someone’s work, reblog it–it goes a long way.

For those who don’t know, an article was released back in March (Link here: https://www.buzzfeed.com/arianelange/john-kricfalusi-ren-stimpy-underage-sexual-abuse ) exposing #johnkricfalusi & his history of preying on, grooming, & sexually abusing/harrassing underage girls and women. The specific women of topic in the article, Robyn Byrd and Katie Rice, were teenage aspiring #cartoonists & #renandstimpy fans that reached out to him back in the 1990s to pursue said career. Byrd ended up being groomed for a relationship with a then 41-year-old John when she was 16 (the grooming starting when she was as young as 14), while Rice faced numerous amounts of harrassment starting when she was also around 14 (and left for good after discovering CP on his computer). These two were the only victims of Kricfalusi that had revealed their identities, as there are numerous other victims that chose to remain anonymous. He later published an “apology” (link here: https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1015460865275871&id=342338899254741 ) that was full of guilt-trip manipulation & blame of everything and anything but himself for his actions.

As a R&S fan, the news of this left me disgusted, angry, guilty, and saddened all at once. John K had such a high status as an animation pioneer and I once revered him for that, but now I see him as nothing more than a sick predator and pedophile. This piece I put together represents the horridness of his actions and the fact that R&S isn’t his. He may have created the characters, but his original show pitch was rejected, he was heavily censored during his time working on it, and he ended up being fired after the end of season 2. In short, R&S is #nickelodeon’s, not his. He sold the rights over when he agreed to make the show with them; no matter how much he draws them to gain more fans (and potential victims), that fact won’t change.
