OOC Note: Just a quick break away of what happened between Puck and Santana at Tric or treat. Any errors were made by the original chat participant.
Santana
Finishing her conversation with Sam, Santana took a breath before walking over to Puck at the bar. Avoiding him all night wasn't going to work. Not to mention the fact that they did have plenty to talk about. Coming behind him she still kept her distance enough before the bartender was able to put another drink in front of him. "I think he's had enough." She glared at the other guy before he could put another in front of Puck.
Puck
Hearing Santana behind him, he furrowed his eyebrows at her words. "What do you mean I've had enough? You don't know how many I've had." Sighing, he looked at the bartender, and shook his head. "Just keep them coming. I'm good." He looked at Santana again, licking his lips.
Santana
“I don’t care how many you’ve had.” Santana’s voice tight with the fact that he wasn’t listening to her. “You bring another drink and I swear to god you can say goodbye to your little bartending vest because you’ll be too busy in a hospital gown to even think about serving cocktails.” Her costume probably didn’t add much to her threatening behavior but still she continued. “Puck.” She waited a few more seconds before sighing m. “Fine. Whatever I can just go. You don’t want to talk to me then fine, I’m not going to beg for your attention.”
Puck
At her words, Puck froze. "Babe, calm down. I don't know why you're so upset." He gave the bartender an apologetic look before standing up, facing her. "Whoa. Hey. Seriously, why are you so pissed?" He gently grabbed her arm, pulling her close to him. "I don't want you to go. I want to spend my night with you. You should know that." His voice was raised slightly, trying to speak over the music.
Santana
"I'm not mad- I just." Recoiling a bit at his touch she pursed her lips and looked up at the ceiling. "Forget it, okay. Just forget it and you can keep drinking. I don't care." She was annoyed but stayed her ground. "If you wanted to spend the night with me then what the hell was that? Slamming a drink down, causing a scene just because I'm talking to Sam? Oh did you think I didn't catch that?"
Puck
Puck let go of her arm, face falling before he brought his hand back to his side. "You obviously care or you wouldn't have said anything." At her questions, he shook his head. "I didn't cause a damn scene. We probably are right now though. I don't care if you caught it or not. I'm pissed because you've been ignoring me like the damn plague all because of words that I didn't even say." He let out a breath, jaw tightening. Puck didn't even want to bring up the fact that he thought she was flirting with Sam because he didn't want to just assume anything.
Santana
"I came here with you, I'm not-" Santana cut herself off from her own lie and shook her head. "That's right. You didn't say it." She looked at his eyes before shaking her head. "I'm not spending the night with you. You can go home without me."
Puck
"You're not what, Santana?" He looked at her, raising his eyebrows. Mouth opened to say something when her words cut him off. It felt as if his heart was up in his throat, and his stomach was in knots. "Wha-? Why not?" He stepped closer to her, trying not to let his voice get too loud. "What did I do wrong?" Voice was low this time as he crossed an arm over his chest to grab hold of his other arm, starting to close himself off.
Santana
"I'm not going to keep arguing with you." That wasn't what she was originally going to say but it was enough for her to cover his question. "Because. This isn't -" Again she cut herself off before her face softened looking at him curled up. Even with just two drinks in her system she felt more emotional than she should have been. "You didn't say it." Santana's eyes dropped down towards his feet. "You almost said it and then you didn't." Now she too crossed her arms trying to hide her vulnerability as well. "Like I said, it's whatever."
Puck
Looking up at Santana, Puck stepped even closer to her, bringing his hands up to her arms. His touch was gentle, which wasn't his normal, but with them arguing, he didn't want to grab her too roughly. "I can say it, San. You just freaked out before I got the chance to." Uncrossing her arms, he pressed his chest against hers, lifting her chin up with his finger. His lips met hers in a slow, deep kiss. Puck wanted to show her just how much he did love her, just by kissing her.
Santana
Pulling him in Santana kissed him until she felt like she needed air. Still she wasn't sure what she wanted. Did she want him to be in love with her? Did she have a choice. If he wasn't in love with her did it matter enough? Running her hands through the back of his head she bit his lip coming out of the kiss. "I don't want you to say it if it means that you're just saying it because I told you to." She bit her own lip now. Pecking a kiss she shook her head. "You don't have to say it."
Puck
Feeling her pull away, he opened his eyes just slightly before a smile played at his lips. Puck shook his head at her last statement before wrapping his arms around her. "But I want to, babe. I want to tell you how I feel, even if it scares the crap out of us." Pressing a kiss to her nose, he slowly moved his head to her ear, letting his breath hit it for a moment. "I love you, Santana Lopez. I'm pretty sure I always have, and I'm pretty sure I always will."
Santana
Even with the bit of advanced notice what he said took her breath away.Moments passed where she wasn't sure this was real. He loved her. Or he thought he loved her. Still she nodded her head, her hand reaching to the side of his neck. "I love you too." The thought of what she had said raced through her mind causing her to mildly panic. Still there was a calm that came over her when she finally did say the three words she never thought she would say. "I love you too."
Puck
Puck stood there, waiting on Santana to say something back. Maybe she wasn't going to say it back? His heart began to race as he stood there, wanting to know if she felt the same way or not. Hearing those words leave her lips, he let out a breath that he didn't know he was holding in. "You sure?" He pulled away to look her in the eye, hand coming up to cup her cheek. "I don't want you to say it if you're not sure." Thumb ran along her cheekbone, eyes searching hers.
Santana
"Are you really going to make me second guess this?" She smiled and even leaned herself into his touch a bit. "You're just going to have to deal with the fact that I do." Her hips leaned into him some more. She couldn't believe that she had actually said anything to begin with but now that she had the gravity of her words set in. Their whole relationship wasn't even supposed to be real. But now here she was not afraid of the fact that she had just told him she loved him. "So, what now?"
Puck
"Oh I will definitely deal with the fact that you do." To him, it was a relief. He was actually afraid that she wasn't going to say it back, and that would have just crushed him. Hands moved to reach for hers, slowly lacing their fingers together. "How about we have fun until the party dies down?" Taking a breath, he moved to where his mouth was at her ear again. "Then once it's over, we head to the beach house, and instead of fucking like we normally do, we could try that whole making love to each other thing. You know, that whole slow and passionate thing? Then in the morning I can make you breakfast in bed."
Santana
“Okay now you’re being gross,” she laughed still giving his hand a squeeze. Were they that couple that actually said things like make love now? Still giving him a look she pecked a kiss to his lips. “But breakfast does sound good.” Santana was sure that at least someone noticed what was happening around them. “Let’s just go back to enjoying the party. And you don’t need to almost break a glass.”
Puck
Shrugging, Puck couldn't help the smile on his face. "Yeah, I don't like the way that came out. I was just trying to see what it sounded like. We don't have to do that though." A small smile was now plastered onto his face. "I'll still make you breakfast. Promise." Puck never took his eyes off her as she stood in front of him. "Alright, alright. I'm not angry anymore, so I won't break a glass. Or I'll try not to." He pressed his lips to hers in a quick kiss before he backed away a couple of steps. His heart was still racing from the conversation, and it was almost as if he could feel it through his shirt.
Santana
“Well it sounded horrible.” Santana scrunched her nose before leaning into his kiss. Still reaching for his sides as he pulled away she canted her head. “You shouldn’t have been angry to begin with,” sure she was being moody but there wasn’t really anything for him to worry about especially if it was Sam she was talking to. Not because of who it was but rather how she felt and who she was. Dropping her arms she sighed and looked around them. “Try to have fun. I’ve still got a few more people to make jealous by letting them see my costume.”
Puck
"I know, I know. I shouldn't have let my anger take over. I'm sorry." Licking his lips, he gave her a once over, a smirk appearing on his face. "I'll be at my spot until you're ready. You know I don't dance." Eyes came back up to meet hers, taking a step back from her.
Santana
"Well at least not about what you thought was going on. It's not like I'm going to up and leave you now." Santana hinted at a smile before shaking her head. "I wasn't planning on dragging you out on the dance floor, but that is one of your downsides to dating a dancer. You're going to have to just sit here and watch me." Leaning on one leg she pressed a quick kiss to his lips before going towards the bar. Taking the drink the bartender was just passing to someone else she took a long drag of the fruity drink. "That tastes horrible." Leaving it on the bar top she pressed past Puck again. "Love you." Even if the drink was horrible she could already start to feel its effect as another song from someone's set started. Heading towards the dance floor she already knew she would look for a few of the girls from her squad to dance with.January 30, 2018
Puck
"Oh? Were you planning on leaving me before?" One of his eyebrows rose out of curiosity. "Well, I'll dance with you, even if I can't dance." Watching her, a smile continued to play at his lips. She was a mess, in a good way. But she was his mess. "Love you too." Eyes continued to stay on her as he asked the bartender for another drink. He took the seat he was in before, eyes never leaving her.
