MORNING!! Cause I can't actually wake up in the morning only in fiction do I rise at the sound of my alarm clock TwT
Heh, I wrote this for a character in that side story I’m working on.
—
For the first time they don’t want to leave.
For the first time they feel safe.
For they first time they feel accepted.
They pull the blanket over your shoulder and watch your chest rise and fall. It spurs something in their own, something unfamiliar and… and confusing.
For the first time they think that maybe you deserve more. More than they ever gave to the people before you. More than a cold dent in the mattress.
It’s different and they look at you with furrowed brows. It’s different and that’s why they get up. And that’s why they leave.
Never too far but never far enough.
@fasciinating didn’t ask for this, may not want this and can absolutely ignore this
There ain’t enough booze on this whole damn ship for the conversation they’re having. This feels like one of those things he wants to blame on Jim, on that smile he tucks in the corner of his mouth that means ‘you can’t stop me, I don’t care how stupid this is’. But Jim isn’t here.
Leonard is here, bourbon lazy and forcibly off duty for at least the next twenty four hours, and fighting sleep with enough damn force that he’s walked himself into a sex talk with a Vulcan.
(He was still gonna blame Jim for this. Tomorrow. When he was sober.)
“How’n the blue hell do you top hand sex, anyway?”
His knowledge of Vulcan anatomy went just far enough to keep the green blooded bastards from dying. He didn’t know about how they did their business.
And didn’t want to know until tonight.
(Jim’s fault.)
Mckirk Requests are open!
I'm jumping ahead and introducing two of the main characters for the side story, A Small Favor. They are minor side characters in Water to Blood too. I'm just really excited about them and can't wait.
Eventually I'll make an official post about that story but for now, some prelim info:
polyfacetious asked: “i know how to open these bones with just my teeth.”
Poetry Starters: (Accepting)
“Son, I can’t tell if you’re hitting on me or threatening me.”
But no one ever said Leonard McCoy was a smart man. He was in the employ of a murderer, medicating a shizophrenic. How much worse could a pretty blonde with the devil’s eyes really make his life?
Well...there was only one way to find out.
Leonard nudges the stool out next to him in quiet invitation.
👍 Does my muse prefer to be asked on a date, or would they rather do the asking?
Headcanon Meme: (Accepting)
Diego - asking. Fuck waiting around for someone else to get their act together. You go for what you want, or you have no right to complain.
Tony - asking. Rejection is an old hand at this point. Dealing with the anxiety and building hope of wanting someone to want you is too much for him.
Shawn - being asked. Mostly so he can do the ‘I told you so’ dance when he’s right.
Stiles - being asked. Hello massive lack of self esteem. He’s not worth the effort, so why try?
Dick - Whatever makes the other person most comfortable. All of this of course meaning you got past his massive wall of obliviousness for him to even see you’re interested.
Dean - Asking. The ‘last night on earth’ line has done him well.
Bones - He’s too fucking old for this shit.
Eddie - He’ll ask, but long long after anyone has given up on him.
[ UP ]: Bones and Ace had a playful little spar in prep for the Battle, during which Bones managed to knock Ace to the floor, only to quickly offer him up. " Sorry, that, um… Was that too rough? You ok? "
"Yeah, I'm good," Ace replied out of breath, jumping to his feet quickly. He put his hand to his face, checking for blood. Nothing. "You didn't draw blood, though."
He considered himself a decent fighter, although he would be lying if he said he found this sparring enjoyable, especially against someone like Bones, who doesn't deserve a wound on their body. Perhaps Ace let them knock him to the ground. And perhaps despite the fact that he should be preparing himself for battle, he would do it for a second time.
Ace lifted his fists, ready for a round two. "Again!"
