LOST TO TIME AND WAVES; CHARACTERS (1/2)

ARYA BLACK; Arya isn’t soft, a life of scars and chains has made sure of that. After the death of her family, she spent a brief time living off the streets until she was picked up and sent away. She’s had to claw and fight her way toward freedom and she will let no one impede her claiming the glory she craves. She’s prepared to fight monsters, kill men, and lose anything. There isn’t a single thing she’s unwilling to sacrifice if it meant it would ensure her name be remembered well past her death. All of her willingness means very little without a crew to back her up. 

GWEN CARTIER; Gwen has never had the urge to look at anything but the bright side. When her mother shipped her off to live with her aunt and even when said aunt wanted to marry her off to a man she had no love for, she tried to smile and get through it. On her wedding night, however, she couldn’t go through with and she ran away. Since finally being able to be her own person, her dream has been to explore the great, wide world. It wasn’t a particularly difficult decision to take off to the seas in search of treasure. Even if she very much doubts it exists. 

CELENE; Celene is full of regret and anger. She ran away from home, traveled to the surface all for a woman who betrayed her. And despite the heavy grief she felt, there were still those who pursued her for her beauty. So, she sabotaged it. She scarred her face and learned to be lethal. Years of killing and hurting and harming did well in the beginning, but it wears on one’s peace of mind. Now, as she’s presented with the chance to do something better, something with some real honor, she takes it. (After a bet and a fistfight, of course)

She’d sat alone - in the dark - at Caleb’s apartment for nearly an hour, staring into space while her shock consumed her and the adrenaline running through her veins seized the feeling of extreme, sharp pain in her leg - where the wendigo had torn out her flesh, yearning for more. She swallowed thickly, limply standing outside her godfather’s apartment, hoping, praying, it was Caleb or Celene that opened the door. The adrenaline had faded and it was purely her will of power that kept her feet from going limp, that kept her from falling right then and there. She rang the door bell, goosebumps arising on her arms before she quickly knocked again.
